Millie was rather surprised that Lana had called in sick yet another day.  It seemed so unlike her.  Oh well, it was no hardship to spend the day in her shop.  She set out tea and goodies for any customers that might come in and sat down to play on that wonderful modern thing called The Internet.

Café Fina, Thursday

There was a heap of melted, multicoloured pony plastic sitting in the dumpster behind Café Fina.
There was a pot of stew being made that contained 100% less Applejack than yesterday's.
There was a rather pleased maitre d', who was no longer wearing a sparkling pony tiara.
But there were still Seaponies singing in the kitchen sink. Apparently, they helped raise the morale of the human cooks, who still were rather uneasy working around the cutlery.

Today's Specials Board reads:
Half-price day! Unless you mention ponies. Then you pay double.

And remember, the dishes have ears.

Katara made sure to get up extra early this morning so she didn't have to know if Chad was tied to the bed again or not.

That, however, resulted in her getting to the post office really early and finishing all the sorting and cleaning and organising almost before the post office opened.

So the day found her leaning against the counter and trying to improve her reading using a magazine she'd found.  ...now if she could just get past her blushing at the pictures and focus on the words everything would be okay.

Well, there hadn't appeared to be many signs of death or fire or brimstone or Ragnarok or what have you, last night or this morning, which was...encouraging, until she saw a general drop in the market today, with the more successful oversea markets actually bringing down the dollar a little. Which she figured she could totally blame explosion happy Annette for. Somehow. After she was done working out figures as to whether or not she should shift her investment to a few Japanese companies that had been catching her eye.

She stopped before she got too far, realizing that Sam Westing was probably rolling in his grave for her even considering investing outside of the U.S. of A.

That was enough Journal for today. She threw it over her shoulder and smacked Apu in the head accidently. Ooops.

Today's Squishy Flavors: Chick Peeps, Bunny Peeps, Red.

Turtle & Canary is open.

Ami arrived for her second time working. She was moving carefully, making sure not to jostle her side too much. The warm-ups in the morning did not help. She set up behind the counter and started working on her homework.

Jude isn't at work today.

Jude's a little . . . tied up at the moment.

There is a completely moddable and totally unfamiliar, honest, server available to you, though.

Some severely damp and ornery chihuahuas appear to have opened Empire Records today.

There's also a crude sign that says:

"Will trade music for chewies and biscuits."

NPC townfolk just shake their heads as they walk by. Only in Fandom.

Braca's been exceptionally busy this week. He's been working from home mostly, looking into installing a rather large pool. He has no desire to mingle with the citizens of the town but does want a nice, cool, refreshing place to take a dip during the hot summer days.

After being told that his house did not support a pool's structure, Braca bought a small wading pool, blew it up and filled it with water.

And sulked.

[I am so sorry for forgetting this!]

Briana showed up to open Caritas and was slightly bemused to find that there was a zombie band in attendance. She was even more suprised that they actually seemed to be able to play a variety of music.

She got everything set up like she saw in Phoebe's memories and then looked around her.

There was no way that she was staying behind the bar all night.

This place looked like it could indeed be fun...and she hoped Isobel and Madeline showed up.

They deserved a party.

Oh look! A naked man running hurriedly through the chilled streets from Caritas, heading towards the TARDIS.

Poor Doctor.

Neil was a little late getting into the Nest tonight.

This no doubt undid all the positive strides he'd made towards getting umbrella access.

Woe!

[ooc: *Facepalms* Yeah, RL keeps eating me. Please mod Mazikeen and I apologize for the lateness.]
