"Okay, Not-Tiddles," Setsuna was kneeling down in front of the cat and imploring it very seriously, "I'm giving you a very important task today. Are you sure you can keep up with the resposibility? I certainly hope so, because you need to show your worth around here and pull your own weight, otherwise I'll totally turn you into Chinese food, got it?"

The cat looked up at Setsuna and mewed. And then slashed her claws across her face.

Setsuna grunted and checked to see if it was bleeding. It was. Dammit. "I'll take that as a yes. Okay." She stood. "You know what to do."

She went ahead and attached the sign on the door of the Post Office:

Warning! Guard Cat!
The Post Office will not be held responsible
for anyone under the age of Twelve being attacked
by Viscious Cat of Doom!

After spending a few seconds just sitting behind the counter as Not-Tiddles licked its paws, Setsuna started to wonder if this plan was really efficient.

The Post Office is open.

Monday
No Confessionals Today.
Special Spiritual Attonement Day.

No, not for all the breaking of that whole Chastity vow thing (technically, she was still a novice and hadn't even taken those vows yet, thank you very much), but for the whole getting drunk and deciding to stupidly babble out all your feelings to a certain someone thing. Rosette Christopher was actually packing away all her booze and swearing to never touch a drop of it again in her life. She'd learned her lesson, and was never going to allow herself to drunkenly tell someone that she loved them ever, ever, ever again.

And then Chrono came into the church from his trip to the post office, out of breath and holding a letter. Her head tilted. "What's up, Chrono?"

No words; he just shoved the envelope toward her. She blinked and then looked at the letter. And pale. Then flushed as her heart lept, and then she paled again. She opened the envelope. She read the letter.

...Remington was coming. To check up on her. In two days.

Screw it. Rosette tore open the box she'd just taped up, pulled off the top of a bottle of whiskey, and started drinking heavily in deep, desperate gulps.

[[ open for all your churchly needs! ]]

Millie was very amused by all the children who had suddenly appeared in town, though she was quite glad that none had showed up to visit her. But since they were here...

Sale! All Children's Books Half Off!

[OOC: I'm at work and will have limited internet access. Feel free to mod buying a book.]

Orden was really, really, really excited because he got to go to work with Papa Chad! He didn't even know Papa Chad worked, because back home, he didn't have to. So this would be fun!

Chad ended up pretty much just letting Orden rearrange the CDs and pick all the music and then they glued quarters to the floor together and played frisbee with a bunch of old vinyls that no one ever wanted, until Orden kind of got carried away and forgot his strength and smashed on into the wall (so there was half a record wedged in there now, somehow), and Papa Chad decided that was enough of that game.

Magic Box, Monday

Giles had spent a peaceful weekend puttering around his apartment and expected an equally peaceful week working in the Magic Box.

(Yeah, he wasn't used to Fandom yet.)

The Magic Box was open.

Tori couldn't help but laugh at the sight before her. Aiden had wanted to go outside even though it had been raining. He was now currently dressed in a raincoat, that Tori had conveniently and handwavily found at Stuff for Sale. She had picked up a couple more things for Aiden and had gotten them back to the room in one piece.

She just found Aiden to be too cute, jumping in the puddles and giggling. Yep, he was definitely her son.

[OOC: Expecting Bronwyn and parentals, because Bridge!mun and I decided that Tori just had to meet the little munchkin. Open to whoever else would like join them!]

Jaye figures if she gives them toys, making they will shut the hell up. So after placing another call, she takes OJ and Emily to Stuff for Sale, somehow under the impression that this is a good idea.

And then Emily takes off in one direction and one of the toys flies off the shelf into OJ's hands and Jaye's so going to Caritas tonight.

[So open, or available for your own postingness.]

It wasn't that Willow didn't like the kids she'd met so far. She did, really. Even the one who'd been cursed with half of Seely's genes.

It was just that, well, this kinda confirmed something she'd suspected for a while.

Ergo, trip to J,GoB. She needed pastries, preferably in chocolate form.

[ooc: for a kidlet, but feel free to use for your own desserty needs.]

"No knocking things over. No breaking things. No taking things without paying. No fighting, no crying, no ... I don't know, other stuff," Parker told the seven trailing after her like ducklings. "Let's find you guys clothes and pajamas, and you can all have at least one toy. And no, Jeffrey, I'm not buying you a computer. Talk to your dad."

[open! Parker's just getting the kids some stuff, but feel free to ping in and talk to her or them.]

Lana carried Maggie into the bookstore. They'd stopped for a quick grilled cheese then hurried along to Lana's work. Lana sat Maggie down with a book in one of the big comfy chairs while she made sure there was fresh tea and biscuits for the customers.

She also noticed the sign in the window:

Sale! All Children's Books Half Off!

Once everything was set, Lana went back to Maggie and scooped her up in her lap and began reading to her.

After getting a handwavey phone call involving the words "surfing," "baking sheet," "stairs," and "hellion," Jarod had collected his (!) daughter and brought her with him to work, stopping on the way to pick up something so she could eat dinner. Then he allowed her to "help."

This may later have been considered a bad move.

Within ten minutes, Jarod was trying to untape two of the zombies from each other and Catie was perched on a stool and pouting in the corner, which didn't have nearly interesting enough wallpaper. "Stupid time out."

After a dinner of spaghetti kindly made by Isabel, Cedric grabbed his broom and took Aiden down to the beach. It was the most open place to do this sort of thing and provided the best view.

Aiden, having not been to the beach in awhile, immediately ran towards the water but stopped just short of diving in head first. He danced along the water's edge until Cedric called him back.

[Open! Cedric will take a weetiny flying, if you'd like. If not, feel free to use the beach.]

As was becoming a regular occurrence Monday nights, Lucifer was behind the bar. But there was still piano music being played as his, and it still felt strange to think, son sat and played for him.

Fandom continued to have things pop up to surprise him.

John figures D'Argo knows what a Prowler looks like. He's probably even been in one before but John and Aeryn take D'Argo with them anyway.

It's dark and chilly but not too late because D'Argo has a bedtime and there's only so long Umberta can be alone in room 238 and not wreck havoc.

[For Aeryn and the wee son. It's okay to say they went to the junkyard but everything else is NFB please.]

Once again the Dance club gathered in the ball room at the Arms Hotel. Perhaps today there would be a few more participants, so today refreshments consisted of sodas and popcorn.

River waved and smiled. "Tango," she said, "starts with walking. Like this." She started the instructional video.

While the video played Tributary practised Tango walking in front of everyone. River flailed.

"Then you can try more complicated dancing." She started another video.

Tributary tried the more complicated dancing, until Ananda shoved her aside. "I can do this much better than you." Which she then turned to prove. River facepalmed.

[Please wait for OCDs OCDs are up! Welcome to Tango with kids.]
