Lumiere kind of wanted a social life.
Which was a silly thing for a guy with two candles instead of hands to want, true, but he was allowed to dream.
In any case, he was going to take the first step today by starting to look for some new staff.

Today's Specials Board reads:
Now Hiring! Apply within! Talk to the guy whose hands are on fire!

There was power again, so the menu was totally normal today.
Shock!

(Open!)

Parker held the door for Karal as they entered, grinning at him. "So, what's your favorite flavor of candy, or fruit? Chocolate? Vanilla? Strawberries, blueberries..."

When Ellen got to work, she was confronted by the female zombie band member, who seemed somewhat upset. Through pantomime and Tino's amazingly unhelpful commentary, she deduced that the bass player had somehow become trapped under the stage. GOB's fault, she figured.

With Tino's grudging assistance, they managed to get him out. Ellen retreated to the bar as soon as the romantic zombie reunion commenced, but it was too late - some things you just can't un-see.

[OOC: ducking out for food real quick, back asap Back!]

Alphonse came in and opened the store, and set up the usual things. He didn't feel like sitting down much today, so instead of reading for once he was going around organizing things as they should be. It was more productive, anyway.

Siegfried, Roy and their white tiger were in the park, prepared to put on a Very Important Show.

Well, if the tiger wouldn't keep running off. And...beeping. What the hell was that about anyway?

Ah, gremlin bites. Luke and Gavin were going to unhappy tomorrow, but for now...

Siegfried turned to Roy. "Are ve ready?"

Artoo, who was not a tiger, made another run for it.

[OOC: Open to all! Come witness the humiliation!]

Coming into work early to try to avoid having to spend any more time in her cabin than necessary? Don't be silly. It was totally just that whole work-a-holic thing again, really...

Either way, Setsuna was there working the bar tonight to serve drinks to the booze-seeking 'masses,' while rather tempted to imbibe on the liquor herself.

And experimenting with alcoholic bubble tea drinks.

The Devil's Nest is open!

[[ up early...because it can *shrug* ]]

Jim loved this job. He was bored, so he was able to just wander in whenever he wanted and set up shop. He didn't really want to bother with his laundry this week, and he wanted to know if anyone would "buy" a used sock. He could do that here.

Don't judge him poorly for being curious.

Photo Hut, Saturday

Leo had a number of historical texts, and cameras and tape recorders and photos spread out on the counter. He was looking, just a little spooked.

Photo Hut is open. Especially anyone who'd be willing to help Leo figure out what's going on. In general or at Efferton Manor, either would be helpful.

"What the he-- GLADYS!"

Moist's yell was somewhat muffled by the fact that he was currently tumbling head over heels back down the stairs, cushioned by the torrent of popcorn that flowed free through the doors of the Post Office.

A huge hand lifted him by his collar and set him on his feet. "The Sorting Engine Is Overflowing."

"Yes, I can see that," he snapped, struggling free of her grip and wading through the flood of white, up the stairs and into the post office. "What happened?"

"I Do Not Know. There Were Flashing Lights And Then There Was Popcorn. It Has Now Stopped."

"Okay," he muttered as he climbed onto the desk, turning in a slow circle to survey the damage. Not that he could see it under all the popcorn. "All right. Gladys, get to work. Scoop the clean stuff off the top and bag it. The rest, I don't know. Maybe we can sell it as packing material."

The Post Office was open. A path had been cleared from the front door to the counter. There were bags of (really quite clean, considering) popcorn set out, with a sign proclaiming them to be Free to all Post Office Customers (or passers by, or anyone who'll take it away), and Gladys was working diligently to clear up what was left.

As he'd told Ed yesterday, Roy was in his office on Saturday. The door was open so that he could hear what was going on at the front desk in case he was needed.

For once he wasn't working on a report, but there was a letter on the desk in front of him with only one word written on it Elisabeth. He hadn't added anything to it for a while now. In the end, he crumpled it up and tossed it in the bin beside his desk.

((For a short alchemist, but definitely open if you want to bug the Sheriff.))
