Rogue had handwavily talked to Leo about her new schedule, so she showed up on Tuesday to open the Photo Hut. She re-familiarized herself with the stock and then sat down with a glass of iced tea.

Like he'd promised, Anakin was in the junk yard leaning against the transport pod and waiting for Jaina.

He ran his fingers over the ship and decided he needed to call Aeryn soon to tell her about the dinosaurs. And Rory.

...possibly not in that order.

[OOC: For the granddaughter, please.]

Nana (nee The Dog) was still following Jeff around when he entered the Arms Hotel early that morning. It took him considerable effort - and about half an hour of his shift - to get her to just lie down quietly. Finally, he shook off his jacket and dashed into the kitchen, where he was to return several times that day to attempt to talk Gunther into providing free and sensible food.

It would soon become obvious to Jeff that it was more of an either/or kind of situation.

If you were in luck, you could catch him actually sitting at the front desk, doodling or staring nervously at some flowers. In these intervals, it might actually seem as if the Arms Hotel lobby was really, truly open.

Which it was.

Annette wore her school uniform to work today. Just cause. It gave her a sense of self-worth, but as soon as she walked into the post office, no longer was she centering anything around herself.

"Gladys? What's...what's going on?"

"Miss Annette. The Sorting Engine Is Spewing Cotton Candy. Pink. Blue. Yellow. What Do I Do?"

Annette looked around at the sticky stuff that Gladys had shoved in containers but still seemed to be everywhere.

"We'll sell it!" She said cheerfully. "And we'll eat it, or I'll eat it! Gladys, not to worry! Here, I'm going to come back there and will help you wrap it up! We need to find out which portal is sending it and tell them we have enough for now. If that will work."

"I Tried, Miss Annette."

"We will just have to try harder, Gladys. I'm here to help," she said cheerfully.

Annette quickly set the bell on the counter with a note that read: Need me? Ring my bell.

Quickly scribbling another note, she taped it to the front counter and it read: Cotton Candy for Sell! Yay! Yummy! Ask me for prices!

Turtle opened the store, flipping the closed sign to open, setting up the glittery "Help Wanted" sign in the window, started some coffee in the back room for her and Apu, made the necessary changes to turn Alice into herself after being Bob yesterday, check the next inventory, and then settled behind the counter, tapping a pen on her chin as she compared the information about insurance that she'd gotten yesterday.

In other words, a completely normal day. And it better sure as heck stay that way.

Today's Squishy Flavors: Perfectly, Normal, Red.

Turtle & Canary is open!

Why, no, that wasn't Yitzhak behind the counter with a Barry Plodder costume pattern book, and cloth swatches, trying to figure out if he would look good in a wizard's robe like the one Barry's Head of House wore, or contemplating a grey-haired wig on its stand as if formulating a plan of attack styling it.

Why, no, that wasn't Yitzhak doing this in an attempt to prepare for a midnight book release party or anything.

Even if it was -- which it absolutely, positively, unequivocally without a doubt wasn't -- Yitzhak would never admit to it. He was good at that denial thing.

As if he would read kids' books like that. Pssht.

Luke's is open. Bring a raft, the river of denial runs deep here today.

[OOC: The availability issue of the past three weeks continues to apply this week, yes, so will pick up any pings after I get home.]

Magic Box, Tuesday

Giles was researching defensive spells, looking for something that could be used to keep whatever riff raff comes through the door away from his tea. Oh, and also keeping them away from the more dangerous magic items.

He's spent time earlier, ordering more tea that hadn't had dinosaur slobber on it.

This was something he'd never had to deal with back in Sunnydale.

The Help Wanted sign was still on the door and the Magic Box was open.

There was still a lot of work to do around the store to get it back to where it was, but Chad had gotten a lot of it done yesterday, and hoped to finish up what remained that didn't require new materials or anything. He wanted to make sure it was mostly done so Melody or Charlie wouldn't have to worry about it that much.

Today's music: Placebo, Radiohead, Tori Amos, and REM. Blame Rikku for the first three. And the fourth? What? He liked REM...

Groovy Tunes is open.

Millie opened ths store and set everything out for the customers. Then she settled down with a cup of tea and a good book until they arrived.

The dinosaurs were still missing and Gabriel had a new book to read. He frowned a little when he opened the first page. Perhaps it hadn't been such a good choice. The title 'Millie Goes To School' didn't sound completely promising, but it was either that or the Bible or the hymn book again. He shrugged and began to read.

Oh, and he had that dinner invitation tonight. He wasn't sure why Emma had invited him, but it wasn't like he was going to turn down free food.

[The church is open]

Aziraphale was in a dark mood when he arrived to open up the Nest. He gave Musubi a polite nod but didn't speak, and make quick work of checking to be sure the bar was stocked and the place clean.

Then he decided it was bloody well time to learn how to actually make some drinks. So he sat himself behind the bar with a book on mixology, and after a few minutes put up a sign advertising a few specials.

Tonight's Drink Specials
Bring the Pain
Deep Dark Secret
Bloody Nightmare

There may have been a theme going on.

[ooc: Angel in a mood tonight, so please mod Musubi if you don't want a shot of angst with your drink.]

One of the zombies somehow got all of his fingers chopped off when Tino accidentally slammed a door on him. Now it was up to Dick to attach all ten in the right spot before the band had to go on stage.

"Does this look like a ring finger to you?" asked Dick, holding up a still wiggling finger. Tino shrugged.
