On his way to work, Bart kept trying to figure out why there were so many weird footprints all over. Giant footprints at that.

Really weird.

But he just shrugged and waved hello to Bob, taking his place behind the counter. There might possible be a fake moustache stuck to Bob today, but he wouldn't know anything about that. Nope.

Today's Squishy flavors: Bob, Not Alice, Red.

Lana opened the store in a particularly good mood. Jim was back and his father had praised him - whatever the reason - and last night had been wonderful and yes, it was just a marvelous day!

She might have been - no, she definitely was - singing as she went about her work.

[What? It was always here! *facepalms*]

Gunther should really be heading down to the clinic to see how Mary was doing or calling the Delines and giving them an update. Instead, he was avoiding both tasks and cooking.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!
Today's Specials
Shrimp Dean Martinis
Chicken Cigars
Clams Casino Royal
Free lunch if you can defend Gunther from dinosaurs or angry ex-CIA agents.

It was rather strange, waking up in the morning, no longer having the dinosaurs there. Setsuna had flown into the post office out of recent habit and got halfway there before she realized that it wasn't necissary and then leaned against the counter in mild shock. The weekend seemed almost like a weird dream. Yes, even after managing to get past and clean up the barricade on the door. All that flying. Too much flying. It left her a little exhausted. And it was a bit weird how she didn't get a second thought to the barricade.

No, that wasn't her sleeping. Setsuna was just...resting her eyes.

Thank goodness Not Tiddles was there to rake against her calves and keep her up. But waking her up reminded her of her hunger. Her eyes fell down toward Not Tiddles.

The cat smartly found his way to the back room.

The post office is open!

Ami was only mildly late for work. She figured being a fish was a good excuse. She sat behind the counter, and wondered if there were any books on animal transformations in the store.

Coming into the shop and looking around, Chad drew in a deep breath. He...it looked like he had a lot of grunt clean-up work ahead of him. But that was okay. If anything, he was glad he came in after the dinosaurs because it was better him who could do a lot more lifting and tossing and clean up than Charlie or Melody. He set Prince Oscar Pedro on the counter; he curled up immediately because hanging out in Chad's Potpourri class had worn him out. Chad started looking for the other cats. Not finding them, he was a little worried, but there were no signs of dinosaur feasting that he could really notice, so he'd assumed they'd found somewhere safe to chill.

Hoped, anyway.

Today's music: Classical. He didn't have time to make a dino mix before today, and he figured this was close enough to their time period to work.

Groovy Tunes is open!

[[ no OCD today ]]

Gabriel hoped the radio broadcast was to be trusted. When he had heard that the dinosaurs were gone he had unbarricaded the church doors. Of course, keeping them barricaded would have saved him the trouble of annoying visitors, but he had to admit that not all visitors were annoying.

Perhaps this was a good day for a walk.

After being so wrongly pulled from bed to go running with his roommate, A.J.'s attitude about the situation didn't seem to improve very much. How could it be so warm even just this early? How did Troy honestly expect A.J. to be able to keep up with him? And, most importantly...

"Why couldn't there still be dinosaurs so I wouldn't have to do this?"

[[ mostly for Troy; sp due to conflicting work schedules, but it's an open space, open post, so if you wanna stop one of the boys, go for it. A.J. would be pretty thankful for the breather ]]

There appeared to be dinosaur footsteps in the streets outside his diner. #$@^ing dinosaur footsteps. Yitzhak was kind of sorry he missed it, and annoyed with himself for getting so absorbed in looking for a microphone stand that he had missed the whole weekend.

And that would suffice to explain why he was facepalming so much behind the counter.

Not that he ever would, you know, explain it.

Luke's is open. Watch your step as you exit, though.

So, here they were again. Molly was leaving for the rest of the summer and very excited about it, but hated that it meant that she had to say goodbye to Karal again. First thing she was going to do when she got to Angel's was talk to them about setting up a date for Karal and the others to visit.

Molly stood with her arms around Karal's waist and her forehead pressed against his chest as they waited for the portal to open. "This sucks," she muttered.

[[OOC: Thread with Karal and Molly is closed, but post is here if anybody else needs the causeway.]]

Hades, Harriet and Fraser arrived back on the surface just in time to see the effects of restoring the stones that kept the dinosaurs at bay. Across the island, the larger dinosaurs started to fade. The plesiosaurus dipped its head beneath the surface of the pond and faded out of existence. It was followed by its counterparts, one by one. The raptors came next, running down one street and disappearing before they could turn the corner or take a bite out of someone.

High above the island, the pteranodon's screech echoed through the air and faded into nothing as the last of the dinosaurs once again became extinct.

Fandom, a little shaken and a little worse for wear, was back to normal. Well, as normal as Fandom ever was.

[And that's a wrap! The BDE is over, the dinosaurs are gone. You can still play out dino interactions in the posts set before this. Thanks to the volunteers who played the dinos (and assorted others), to [livejournal.com profile] smartestone, [livejournal.com profile] idontlooktired and [livejournal.com profile] themountieman for helping with the finale and to everyone who participated.]

Yay! His tent had not been eaten by Dinosaurs. Now he could take care of that homework assignment for Scouts!

The mosquitoes had been thick when he started setting up his tent. Now? Not so much. He might have a stomach ache from eating too much soon.

ooc: Post is ever so open! Come enjoy the now dino and mosquito free beach!

Ice cream had taken on a meaning of upset minions, but hopefully ice cream now had nothing to do with bad things.

Deadpool plopped down on a bench, licking a bit of Gold Medal Ribbon off his fingers. Damn thing melted too fast. "So! Dinosaurs, huh?"

[[ooc: Open as parks are, thread with Aly locked to them please!]]

Leo poked his head cautiously out of the back room into the store area. No sign of dinosaurs. The coast must be clear.

With a sigh, he began to clean up.

After receiving a bouquet of flowers this afternoon. Lucifer left the bartending to Musubi as he headed for the lounge. It had been some time since he played.

Musubi? Still upset over not getting to kill the lizards. Poor Shiko-no-me.

Trooper station was still standing. There was some damage from the raptors, but all in all nothing that couldn't easily be dealt with. Sadly enough the paperwork seemed to have survived the attack as well and Roy was sure there was going to be a whole cartwheel full after the weekend.

Not for now, though. He'd lightened the trooper's shifts for the day, wanting to have them get some rest. In the meantime, he was trying to clear up some of the chaos at the front desk.

Emma was surprised when she arrived at Caritas. There wasn't any evidence of dinosaur trampling at all, and the zombie band didn't look any more eaten than they usually did.

Curious. Very curious.

She shrugged and began to set everything up, leaving it for Tino to finish when he showed up. She noted that she'd have to talk to GOB about ordering more little umbrellas, and then poured herself a Cosmo.

ooc: wait for ocd! OCD up. Ahem.

Naomi came in on time for work and set up for her shift.

Sparky's is open.
