Give Gunther some credit. He eventually caught onto the fact that Mary was missing -- somewhere around Sunday morning, long after she went off on her own and ended up in the clinic. In fact, the only reason Gunther realized that Mary was missing was that housekeeping noticed that her bed hadn't been slept in and became frantic.

If Ed Deline didn't slowly and painfully kill him, Danny McCoy certainly would. Gunther's only hope was that someone could tell him what happened to Mary because he wasn't about to go out looking for her.

The hotel staff gathered in the lobby, which had been barricaded by old furniture. Gunther had his meat cleaver, his assistant had a rolling pin, and the rest of the staff were armed with assorted makeshift weapons. There was plenty of club sandwiches, raisin scones and mint tea since they never got a chance to set up Saturday's tea service. They were willing to share with other people but not with dinosaurs.

[OOC: For [profile] apocalypsesoon  or anyone who wants to let the staff know that Mary is in the clinic. Dinosaurs not welcome today, sorry.]

All in all, this was one of GOB's best island invasions ever. He wasn't drunk, he wasn't holed up in some gym while too cold and terrified to hit on any of the teenage girls, and all he had was a self-inflicted bump on his head from his Friday juggling. He would have a celebratory drink if he knew there were dinosaurs all over the island. Actually, if he knew that there were dinosaurs all over the island, he would probably have more than one drink, most of them out of fear.

But the first one would be celebratory.

[OOC: Open for anybody who wants protection from being eaten by dinosaurs, anybody who wants to drink because of dinosaurs, anyone who's generally avoiding dinosaurs, and, sure, any dinosaurs who want to be unable to eat people in the bar and who can fit through the door.]

As if a little thing like dinosaurs was going to stop Kabuto from going to work. He didn't expect it to be a very busy night, of course, but he also wasn't about to get a lecture about shirking duties. Not that Lucifer was the type to give lectures; but he definitely had ways of making his disapproval known.

Thus, there was a ninja behind the bar, reading a scroll about transformation jutsu.

The streets of Fandom had seen better days. While some of the dinosaurs slept, the scavengers and pack hunters had spent the night chasing whatever was in the street and harassing residents who were safely tucked away in barricaded buildings.

The sun rose over the island, revealing that some of the larger dinosaurs had moved on or had settled down. Some, however, particularly the smaller dinosaurs, were still on the rampage.

Just another lazy Sunday in Fandom.

[If you're still up for a fight, just ping in with where you are in town in the subject line and a dino will come find you. As always, please be patient as someone will get to you ASAP. There will be research going on the library if that's more your thing.]
