Yitzhak was in a frighteningly good mood this morning; there was even humming.

Ever heard someone cheerfully humming death metal? It's kind of scary.

For the kitchen staff, it was scary in a less-bad way than usual, but this didn't stop them from giving Yitzhak his usual wide berth. There were even occasional bouts of traumatized gibbering coming from the back.

That only made Yitzhak's mood better. It was a vicious cycle.

Luke's is open. Mind the proprietor.

Something felt different today when Mary walked into the hotel lobby. It took a little while to put her finger on it, but Mary finally realized that today was a perfectly normal day. She wasn't a kitten anymore, and she was completely sober and not hungover. It actually felt good to get back to her normal routine. She still had to call Delinda back and let her know that she was okay. There were still issues to be dealt with but Mary was going to take Stan's advice. It was going to take time to deal with her past.

Gunther may have sensed her mood because he was all about the comfort food today.

John's out on his bike, racing it up the beach by the Causeway, on the Causeway, and back along the beach, as if making sure things would be ready for a trip. The bike looks slightly different, more streamlined.

Caritas, Thursday [8/30]

It was Phoebe's last shift at Caritas and she was feeling a bit mopey about it.

She wandered around the club, making sure everything was in its rightful place for the last time. She helped duct tape the zombies back together and she even hugged the leader.

Back behind the bar, she straightened things up, and she and Tino had a toast... or two.

Caritas is open.

The Devil's Nest - Thursday 8/30

Neil was still grinning like a fool as a result of his mini-golf date with Andrew the night before.

Luckily the demonness behind the bar simply rolled her eyes at the young mortal and went about her business of restocking. This left Neil time to clean in the lounge and day dream a bit.

Post Office, Thursday

Today, Sokka had brought Momo Jr. in to work with him. He had apparently forgotten what a bad idea that had been last time he did it.

So, after about an hour of alternately holding Momo Jr., letting Momo Jr. run free while holding Not Tiddles, yelling loudly at Not Tiddles, and various other arrangements, Sokka eventually shut the cat in the back room with her food dish and litter box.

He spent the rest of the day with Momo Jr., trying to ignore the meows and the noise of scratching at the back room door.
