George Michael Bluth was chipper this morning. Apparently so was Eddie because the seagull finally decided to get a closer look at George Michael. "Hey little birdie. Want a nut?" Grinning, George Michael tossed a whole walnut high into the air so Eddie could grab it with his beak.

"Wait. What are you doing?" George Michael watched in amazement as the seagull seemed to zigzag this way and that, craning his neck. It looked like there was a rock.... "Oh." ...a walnut stuck in his throat. Suddenly Eddie took a nosedive in the ocean.

George Michael looked left and right then bowed his head quickly, paying deliberate attention to cleaning the work surface.

Unfortunately he missed seeing Eddie poking his head out of the ocean, glaring at George Michael.

Jude had been pleased to learn that the promised raise for showing up to work in drag had actually materialised.

It had also led to getting '(Dude) Looks Like a Lady' stuck in his head for most of the week.

"Doo-doot, da doo-doot, dude looks like a lady . . ." Jude strutted across the diner to put up the specials board, executing a few dance-steps in between here and there.

The usual assortment of scones, pastries and tea sandwiches were out on the buffet, along with the tea, of course. This week, Mary added coffee to the list of available beverages.

She settled into a cozy chair with a cup of flavored black tea and some cucumber sandwiches to wait and see who came by today.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!
Join us for afternoon tea.

Checking the dates on some of the spell components he was selling, Giles found that the raven talons were getting close to their best before date. After a moment's thought, he changed the label on the jar from "Fresh Raven Talons" to "Aged Raven Talons" and raised the price by a quarter.

The Magic Box was open.

The weather was too beautiful to spend it indoors, even with the window open. So Beauty took the last of her writing paper, a book, and her new pens out to the park. Finding a nice shady spot under a tree, she worked on finishing up her second batch of letters home.

She was also experimenting a little with her new pens. Grace's letter was written half in blue before it occurred to Beauty that she could switch up and finish it in purple. Hope's letter started out purple, experienced a brief red phase before it was determined that red would make a better color for margin notes than full-out correspondence, and then switched back to purple. Now Beauty was working on the letter for her father, which was being written in nice respectable black.

Roy had never had a couch in his office for the simple reason that Hawkeye would have decked him for even considering getting one. Hawkeye wasn't here however and he'd decided that he was at least going to indulge himself into one thing - that wasn't alcohol - this week. Which was why early that morning two movers brought in a nice leather couch that Ralph had helped him buy online. (Those computers still weirded him out a bit.)

Of course, having a new couch meant that he had to try it out. Which was why one end of the couch was already covered in paperwork while Roy tried out the napping potential. So far, he was rather satisfied with the results.

Ellen was going to miss some things about Fandom, but Tino wasn't going to be one of them. Or so she was telling herself, anyway.

Opening the bar, she then put out a sign:

Last Goodbye

[OOC: This is Ellen's last shift at Caritas - the old girl's heading home tomorrow night, so feel free to stop in and have a Last Goodbye along with your last goodbye]
