Caritas, Wednesday evening

All D'Argo had to hear was "party" in conjunction with the words "Caritas" and "Wednesday" and he was there early. He had no idea who Dawn was, but he was all up for the celebration. Of course, never having seen a birthday party here before, mostly he stood around until Tino suggested maybe he should set up a table for this or that.

Pixie Dust, Tuesday

Cher ended up being the tiniest bit late to work today. There had been a shoe crisis. Namely that her black slingbacks were the wrong black to go with her skirt, and she couldn't find one of her black mules with the satiny look. Somehow she thought Tink would understand.

Hoshi quickly consulted with Gunther over the daily specials, but to his relief she left him alone in the kitchen after that. She brought the notes she made in the library yesterday and practiced writing in Russian. Occasionally she would say something out loud in Russian, which only made Gunther keep his distance from her.

Fandom Post Office, Wednesday (09/26)

Beauty decided that it was time to start making friends with the denizens of the post office. Gladys still unnerved her, so she was starting with the cat.

Unfortunately for Not Tiddles, Beauty's method of making friends with animals tended to be to read at them. Which meant Not Tiddles was being treated to a lively rendition of The Encyclopedia Brittanica, Volume Aa - An.

Luke's Diner; Wednesday [ 09/26 ]

Oooooh. There were shards. Lots of shards. Pretty shards! And, after not too long, there were some pretty freaking awesome shard mobiles hanging around the diner, and A.J. was even adding things like forks and spoons and Post-It notes to them to make them even better as they hung over all the tables like artsy junk chandelliers.

His attempts to recreate the plates by piecing together parts of different plates weren't going over very well, and since he decided to also use the Styrofoam in a larger piece about environmental awareness, he was starting to wonder exactly how he was going to serve the food today.

But at least there was a lot of art!

Johnny slept in. It was an accident. So he opened the Hut just a tad late and hoped Leo wasn't around to chew his butt. Not that he was expectinbg that, but regardless, Johnny usually wasn't so irresponsible.

George Michael was busy. He was searching for the biggest banana he had. He had a date tonight and that woman (whom he realized he didn't even know her name) wanted to see his big banana. He had a big banana somewhere around here, he was sure of it.

The Beach, late Wednesday afternoon [9/26]

It may be fall, but it was still very warm during the daylight hours. It was definitely warm enough to take a walk on the beach. Mary had a strange feeling in the pit of her stomach, even though she couldn't figure out what that was. She was hoping that the sound of waves would have their usual soothing effect.

Movies in the Park, Wednesday at Dusk (09/26)

Just before dusk, the temporary movie screen is set up, with a big grassy area in front to provide seating space. A few people have arrived early to share picnic suppers, and to visit with their friends.

[OOC: The movie begins at dusk, and the screen will be removed afterwards. OCD threads will be are up for your movie-going use. Anyone who needs the park for other purposes will find that the outdoor cinema takes up only a portion of the park, with plenty of space available for non-movie needs.]

Devil's Nest, Wednesday Night 9/26

Kabuto was (mostly) satisfied with the cleanliness of the bar. Enough, at least, that he wasn't feeling the undeniable urge to clean. As long as his OCD wasn't acting up, the place was obviously clean enough. So the ninja felt no remorse in settling back behind the bar with a drink recipe book. Call it studying.

Mary was hard at work today. She was hell-bent on having her cocktail party next week, even if she was having trouble squeezing it into her schedule for next week. The weekend was out because she didn't have enough wait staff available. The liquor order she just placed after Gunther's inventory should arrive on Monday, so Tuesday was looking really good.

There were invitations to go out, menus to plan, a theme to decide on, but Mary was completely in her element. She loved planning.
