Lana opened the store and set things out for the customers, then curled up with a good book while she waited.

As delicious and poisonfree as it had been, Turtle Wexler was determined to not let anymore more surprise cakes slip under her radar. Before opening the store, Turtle had re-angled the the security cameras to certain, helpful angles and fed the feed into her laptop so she could see all of them at once while at the counter.

Also, the "Help Wanted" sign had promptly been replaced with one that read "Now Hiring."

No one could ever accuse Turtle of never learning from her mistakes.

Today's Squishy flavors: Pumpernickel, Pony Cake, Grape Judas

Mary abandoned the holiday decorating in favor of online shopping today. She had lots of presents to buy, although she kept getting sidetracked by shopping for a new bikini.

Gunther, meanwhile, had the television set to the Food Network while he barked orders at his sous chef.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!

Sitting on a bench in the park, Annette dazed off across the pond, really seeing nothing except the events that have gone on over the last half week. Karal was right, she needed to go home and tell the truth to her parents. Tell them she lied about the bruise to her cheek, tell them everything. But... yesterday tore her up all over again. She was so hurt over her conversation with A.J. that she just didn't know how to make that any better at all. They ended up yelling at each other and her leaving in tears. And then last night, with Dick; he didn't want her to go back home either. What is the wise choice here?

Annette had no idea what to do and was taking a moment to sit and try not to think at all. It wasn't working very well and her stomach was all knotted up with worry, tension, stress, and hurt.

Closing her eyes, she concentrated on Karal's words to her, the blessing he gave her...

[The park is open, but Annette is melancholy. Shut up! She didn't want to go to the roof, okay?! Man.]

If you walked into the diner today, you might be hard put to find Yitzhak at first . . . unless you looked behind the giant pile of tinsel on the counter.

Yes, Yitzhak was making a Christmas go-go-dancer ensemble out of tinsel and strategically-placed plastic sprigs of holly.

Luke's is open. Be afraid. Really afraid.

There was a cheery Al Bhed behind the counter of the Wellspring Arms and Meditation Center today. And she was bouncing on her toes.

There was also a box of cookies sitting under the counter, smelling all wonderfully fresh-from-JGoB's. No, she won't share, they're for the best mentor ever.

But you can still buy guns, and isn't that what really matters?

Gabriel was bored, and after a few cups of coffee he had taken to examining the broom. After looking around and making sure he didn't see any squirrels around, he actually attempted sweeping. Just a little. In a corner.

Robin hadn't set up for a birthday party since she'd started this job, and she wondered if she should have brought a gift. Maybe booze could be her gift? It was what she would have brought, anyway.

In any case, Robin was there, everything was set up for Xander's birthday party, and she was just going to hide behind the bar.

Peter was still out on a walk to try to deal with the fishy smell of his arm. It was seriously nasty at this point. So nasty that birds were starting to circle overhead when he reached the beach. A lot of birds. That were coming lower.

Peter's spider-sense started to go off and he ducked. "CRAP!" he yelled, taking cover under the fisharm. That's what the swooping birds wanted anyway, so it worked out.

After a flurry of beating wings and screeching and picking, the birds flew off. Peter lowered his fisharm and looked at the result of the carnage. "Huh," he said, when he realized that his real arm was now inside of a giant fish skeleton. He wiggled his fingers, then bent at the elbow. Everything seemed to be in order, even if he really needed to wash that arm. "That was creepy. You and me," Peter said to the skeleton, pulling it off his shoulder, "let's never speak of this again."

He carried the intact skeleton back to his dorm room. Maybe he could cover it in deflated beach balls.

[OOC: Open if anyone has questions for the boy with the skeleton.]
