George Michael needed to talk to Mary. He needed to talk to Mary soon since it was already Friday and he was leaving Sunday. He would do it tonight. He would. He would go to her room and just tell her.

He... sure hoped she understood. Sometimes being a grown up was such a pain. He should have never ever went through that fake wedding that was real. George Michael was just too nice sometimes.

It was definitely a day to bring the guitar with him to work. Chad felt like it was a playing, making music sort of day. He was happy to find out that the kittens felt the same way, meowing along...

...until he started playing Journey, and they very distinctly turned around in disagreement and to find other pursuits.

"What?" Chad frowned defensively. "I like Journey..."

Apparently cats didn't.

And Cable, of course, was inside. Seemingly a little more restless than usual, and spending some time in the back room with the bolted door. Security systems were now done, and he had things on his mind.

Ino had showed up with the intent to get a tea, but the staff had talked her into trying a peppermint mocha… thing. She sipped it and shrugged, heading for a table that gave her a good view of the shop. The drink was okay. It would do.

She tugged out a notebook and settled in to try and write something to her Dad. Ino kinda failed at writing letters.

Sokka sat, dejected, at the counter and stared at it for a while.

Then he started rifling through the mail looking for catalogs to read to pass the time. While drooling over a Hickory Farms catalog addressed to "[Someone who left the island five years ago] or Current Resident", he started wondering -- could he buy a gun through the mail?

Yitzhak had been cleaning out the stockroom and found an ungodly number of incomplete turkey basting kits and no, he really didn't want to know what had happened to all the basters, and he certainly wasn't going to admit to knowing anything about where the flavor injectors had gone.

But that was a lot of poultry twine. He stowed it behind the counter inside the ceramic pot from a broken slow-cooker, along with a string of dried peppers, out of some half-formed curious notion that the artist kid might do something amusing with them.

The theme of the day? Heart.

Giles was arranging a holiday display that included fresh mistletoe, holly and ivy, and candy canes. The latter weren't particularly magical but they were rather nummy. And festive.

Jolee may have discovered television. And he may have had cable hooked up in the bar. And he may have had a TV put in below the bar so he may have been able to watch episodes 10 and 11 of the cartoon about the bald monk kid who had to save the world.

He might have to get some bigger screens installed around the bar so he could force other people to watch what he wanted. That would amuse him greatly.
