Millie bustled happily about the store today. She was terribly excited about her - could she call it a date? Well, she didn't want to be quite that presumptuous, but perhaps. And he had kissed her.

In any case, she set out tea and coffee and cookies and set about straightening up quite cheerfully.

Lucas made his way to Wonders and opened up on time. It was a lazy sort of day, so he sat on a stool in the ticket booth, polishing golf balls and planning a trip into Europe.

Wonders of the World Mini Golf and Go Karts was open for business.

The exhibit was still up and doing well, even if they weren't in Greece anymore. Apparently they were in France now. Huh. Crazy location-traveling island.

After exploring the exhibit for a few minutes, Eve set about opening up before settling behind her desk.

[Wait for the OCD is up!]

Hoshi was up to no good today. Having heard that one of the new faculty members had a very strong dislike of cows and knowing that this faculty member was staying at the Arms, Hoshi decided that today was a good day to try out bourbon beef tenderloin.

The specials board had a big picture of a cow instead of actually listing specials.

[Open! Expect SP from about noon to 6 PM CDT.]

Most of the glitter was thankfully, finally gone; one would have to look particularly close to notice anyway. Cal leaned on the counter of the diner, reading through his script again. He figured, if he needed any ideas on how to get back at Fan Butt, this would be a great place to start. If only he was better with pastries...

Today's Specials
Pork Gyro with tzatziki dressing
Artichoke Salad
Baklava

Cal felt it could be cool of him to make Greek foods the specials now that they were in France.

Luke's is open!

Isabel opened the store on time, then pulled up the UNLV website to review her class selections before registration. The question was, did she really want to take seventeen credit hours over three days, even if it would give her Thursdays and Fridays free?

[OCD free! Sporadically AFK due to RL.]

Adah's plans to sit outside and read some of the new handwavily acquired cough books she'd picked up in France were slightly scrapped by the rain, and so she limped her way toward the coffee shop. She politely ignored the hamsters by the door that seemed to practically lose their berets with the energy put into waving their hands at them, god some tea, and then found her way to that comfortable chair she liked. Three books, one most likely hilariously bad and two rather nice hardcover gems that she found in a small French bookstore, all in French, which would be exciting, as she hadn't just sat down and read French in a while. Not this much. They would certainly help stave off the settling boredom for at least an afternoon.

She thought she'd be more excited about France, but, well, it wasn't like she was going to speak with the locals and the novelty of feeling intelligent because you can read everything died quickly, especially when there were people eying her...or, rather, her limp. She could probably find a nice cafe out there, too, but laziness, as often, took over.

[[ open, of course, although I do disappear for work in a few hours ]]

Jamie was working the Thursday shift now. It felt different from a Monday shift. It was more fun. More energetic. Lively even.

That may be why Jamie had set up one of the Karaoke machines and put a sign in the window that said:

SING FOR YOUR SQUISHY!

Sing well and it's a Squishy for you!

Sing badly and... FACE THE CONSEQUENCES!

Jamie had a bucket of Grape Judas ready for dousing bad singers. Apu had donned a rain poncho.

As store promotions go it was probably the worst idea ever.

Squishy Flavors: Grape Judas, Passion Fruit and Mango

[Now in the right comm and with complete OCD!]

Cassandra wasn't sure what she thought of the whole cabin thing. It meant living pretty close to a lot of people, after all. And Cassandra had never been much of a people person.

Still, it wasn't all bad. She could still find some quiet time alone if she needed to. Of course it was nice to be able to come in to work and do something familiar. She was grinning as she wrote up the day's special.

Today's Special
Strawberry Shortcake

Of course she was sitting down to enjoy a piece of said special herself.

[My note on intermittent availability stands. I'm driving through Arizona today, but should be around off and on.]

Cable was on the phone. Carefully poking through some of his paperwork, occasionally stealing glances at the baby, but, for the most part, very obviously on the phone.

That didn't keep the Open sign from being clearly visible on the door. It just meant the proprietor's ears were a little busy getting thoroughly mocked by his former Chief of Staff. And brushing it off.

The mocking, that is. He might've been a little fond of the former Chief of Staff in question. Even if Irene insisted on making cracks about him trying to 'woo' Deadpool back.

"It's called being a good friend." Pause. "I didn't know I had a 'track record' with that phrase..."

The play is going well, though he's wondering if he might not call Amber in for some exercises or something. The role was hitting her hard, after all. That said, he's here to sell bananas or something.

If you're wondering, he's ignoring the jazz hams.

...he's crazy. He can do that.

Jaye hadn't actually been back to JGOB since graduating, and for a while she stood awkwardly at the counter trying to order a muffin while making awkward conversation with clerk.

"So... how ya been?"

Silence.

"How's the hooker girlfriend?"

Glare.

"I'll be over here," Jaye finally said, and went to sit at a table to wait.

[I'm so bored. Open!]

Robin wasn't letting the past weekend, nor the plummy bruise blooming over the span of her cheek, put a damper on her mood tonight. She'd shot Tino a glare when she came in, but aside from that, she was being downright pleasant.

Maybe it was a renewed joy in life. Maybe it was the turn from spring to summer. Maybe it was that now she was at work and had access to so much booze, she'd started drinking when she came in and didn't plan on stopping.

It was certainly a mystery.

[I'm arooooound. And yes, Robin's got a big ugly bruise on the side of her face, if that's the sort of thing your character would note.]
