Sean's birthday was coming up soon and he wasn't exactly looking forward to it. Which meant that he was throwing himself into his work as much as possible and ignoring the fact that he'd be 23 and single.

And flailing at the thought of his baby sister getting ideas in her head as to fixing that second part. He was surprised she hadn't tried setting him up with anybody.

The York Gallery; Sunday [ 06/01 ]

There was actually quite a bit of work Charlotte should be doing at the desk today, considering that she wanted next week to be the last week of the Naigles exhibit and hadn't quite decided on the next one yet, but she simply could not stay seated today. Not when there was a pair of absolutely amazing and way too overpriced Louis Vuitton pumps on her feet, that had her moving through the main gallery an awful lot just to be walking in them. Her feet would probably hate her later, but it wasn't going through nearly as much punishment they went through yesterday since she'd worn them all over to the sights of Paris, too.

Some things were just totally worth the pain.

Vala was finding that both this new location and job suited her very well, and if she couldn't return to the Louvre again, well, these things occasionally happened. Okay, maybe more than occasionally if you got caught videotaping and taking pictures of the security measures, but it was an occupational hazard and not too worrying in the long run. Shame about the lost cameras, though.

Not that they'd been hers, but that was hardly the point. The information in them would have been very helpful if she'd gone universe-hopping.

Ah, well.

In any event, Luke's was open for business. Vala perched on a stool and had a large cup of coffee and some toast while she waited for customers.

Anders had moved all his stuff back from to the dorms in close to record time, which might have had something to do with the fact that he hadn't really bothered to unpack most of what he'd brought with him in the first place. So yay for that.

Now he was comfortably ensconced behind the bar, hunched over his laptop and looking fiercely concentrated on something.

Was it his fantasy baseball team?

No. It was that damned Facebook Bowling Buddies game again. He was totally bound and determined to master it on the trackpad.

It wasn't going very well, if you judged by Tino's snickering.

The Perk, Sunday Evening

Juli was sitting, sipping on a coffee, and listening to old podcasts of the radio. It was fascinating, really, the sheer about of abnormalities that she had to wade through coupled with the times that she had to read between the lines to get a clear idea of what was happening.

Children, really.

Nonetheless, she was learning about the Island’s schedule and making little notations in a calendar as to when things had happened. Meaningless research? Perhaps.

But perhaps not. Patterns were never entirely meaningless.
