Gunther was working by himself again because the redhead was off doing very dirty things with her boyfriend. At least, Gunther assumed that they were dirty. She wouldn't let him watch. So in the meantime, Gunther had his strudel and his tea and he was muttering about stupid redheads.

Bridge is sitting at the counter with his current project, but for once most of his attention isn't occupied by said project. No, today he's mostly keeping an eye on RIC, who'd insisted on coming along. The robot dog is busily exploring the shop, poking his nose into everything.

It was not a happy day at Turtle & Canary. Horrible hungover and feeling terribly deceived by fruity drinks and squirrels alike, Turtle sat behind the counter with her head cradled in her arms folded in front of her. Occassionally, she let out a small groan, raising her voice to tell Apu to place stop that pounding sound, whatever it was.

"There is no pounding sound, Miss Turtle. That is all just in your drunken head."

"Make it stop anyway. I'll give you a raise."

It wasn't going to stop.

Today's Squishy flavors: Grape Judas, Water, Soda Crackers.

Turtle & Canary is open.

Pizza Planet, Saturday

See, there was this thing. The first time Jen had been in the 21st century, she'd been a little too busy to get a full pop-culture immersion course. And blogs hadn't taken off yet, in the year 2000.

Jen was in 2008. Jen had a computer. Jen worked two days a week at a pizza parlor, and didn't have to spend all her time chasing 31st-century criminals before they blew up half the city.

Jen had a massive hangover. But Jen had discovered blogs, and thus had completely forgotten to come up with a special today.

She was here, though. Despite the pounding headache.

Shooting practice hadn't gone so well. His thoughts were a tangled mess of kids, soldiers, fighting, kids having to act like soldiers and fight... Fandom could spring candy showers and pony people on him whenever it wanted, those didn't bother him. What didn't sit well was some of the things he'd discovered about some of Fandom's residents.

He was trying to work it all out, to be okay with it all, but that was proving difficult at times. Trying to do it during shooting practice hadn't worked either. And Hannibal would've chewed him out for doing so. You couldn't have jumbled thoughts when you were sporting a rifle. That kind of thing could get one killed.

Maybe it was time for a different outlet. After handwavily dropping the rifle off at his hotel room and a quick change of clothes, Murdock hit the gym. Where he was currently hitting a punching bag. What he really needed to clear his head was to be up in the sky. But there wasn't any aircraft nearby and simulators just wouldn't cut it for this. He'd have to make do. For now.

Despite his slight hangover, Toby managed to get himself to the shop on time and started arranging a display of button-down shirts. He wouldn't want to disappoint Ms. Bell. Even if he barely understood her most of the time.

Poor little pixie woman, he thought with a sigh, folding an attractive striped shirt. She must be so frustrated with her inability to communicate. Toby of course, was very lucky. He could talk and he had the best boyfriend ever.

Pixie Dust was open for business.

Well, there was one advantage this job had over the old one: at least she could carry a rifle. Even if she didn't have her C-10 around here, she'd been able to liberate another rifle that couldn't have possibly been from this point in time from one of the back lockers.

Not that Kerrigan would take it out of the store-- then she'd have to deal with the owner again-- and of course he would only carry these things unloaded. But just the heavy weight of the gun in her hands had something strangely soothing about it, and soon, she was humming something tuneless to herself as she paced anxious little eights through the store.

The first thing Jaye did when she got to work was check to make sure no one had installed a stripper pole since Wednesday.

This was followed by an "Oh thank god" and Jaye getting herself a beer.

George Michael had handwavily had a good time at his birthday party last night and stayed up way late, so he was tired when he opened the stand today. Probably he would go home early.

The stand is open.

[OOC: No OCD. RL is killing me lately. I aplogize for being incredibly scarce and having GMB miss his own party. I just haven't been home. Things will settle down more fully come Monday. I have relatives visiting so please just bare with me. Please mod any service as I am headed right back out.]
