Viki was quite pleased to discover that she was herself in her own body this morning, and not herself in another body which was really quite confusing all around and if it never happened again then she’d be even happier.

As such, she was humming as she opened up the shop for the day, and entertained herself by figuring out why, really, so many different types of paintbrushes were needed. Really, now. She understood that variety was useful but, really? So many?

It felt a little unusual at first to be back in her regular body, but Mary wasn't going to complain. She liked herself just the way she was, boobs and all.

Liir had gone up and left a small bouquet of flowers up by Millie's door today, mostly out of guilt. He had missed work last week and it was getting to the point where he was wondering if the island just didn't like him working at the book shop since he always got turned into things on Thursday. Maybe it was Thursday.
Castiel, you got some 'splaining to do.
Either way, he was at work and setting up the shop on time, taking a cup of tea for himself this morning (as well as a cookie) as he settled himself at the counter.

The Book Haven was open.

Jen was settling into this semester's Friday routine of early-morning warehouse district check, third period class, then work fairly well. (She was discovering, too, that if she actually used the seats instead of falling asleep on the deck, her ship wasn't a bad crash pad.) This weekend would be nice and quiet, she was hoping -- after last weekend it'd be nice.

The almighty crash of precariously stacked tomato sauce cans that greeted her as she walked in today had better be a fluke.

[OOC: OCD-free and open and I couldn't help myself. Hush.]

Ella had taken off her shirt on the air last night. Ella kind of wanted to die. The fact it was radio, so people heard but did not see her topless state, had kind of gotten lost in her mortification. She simply didn't think it could be worse.

Therefore Ella was hiding, very very stealthily spending her shift in the kitchen. She would come out if clients needed her, but she'd tucked her hair up under a ballcap and was wearing stealthy dark sunglasses.

The kitchen staff had decided to cook a western feast to cheer her up.

Luke's Diner was open.

Specials
Baked beans
Barbecued leg of lamb
Texas sheet cake

While Jenny may have had a really excellent reason for blowing off work last week, that was not the case this week, so here she was, except for when she was at the student council meeting, sitting behind the counter and pondering if anyone would mind if she rearranged the mannequins into poses from the Kama Sutra.

Pixie Dust was open.

Eve didn't mind the boy!body, but she was quite glad to be back in her own decidedly female body. Or to have it back, rather, since she hadn't really gone anywhere. Whatever.

She did her usual sweep of the exhibit and settled behind the reception desk.

[Wait for the OCD is up!]

Hurley carried a two liter of orange soda under one arm, a couple of red plastic cups balanced upside down on the top of it.

He found himself humming that stupid song by Drive Shaft. It was ridiculously catchy.

It was gonna be fun to hang with Penelope. She was cool.

[ooc: Open indeed, though you'll have to catch Hurley before he meets up with Penelope.]

Ray was celebrating the fact he had, um, tackle again with coffee. That was his story, and he was gonna stick by it. Since he didn't have a place of his own yet, that meant the local coffee place, regardless of the looks they mighta given him when, after ordering his coffee, he dumped in the usual morning's load of M&Ms.

Like he cared.

He crashed down at a window seat, stirred his coffee, and stared at whatever happened to be coming by on the streets. Couple of days (no, wait, like a day) until he got to go in and talk to Mustang, and he was antsy.

So. Work. And thinking. A lot. About lots of things. It was a good kind of thinky. She thought. Maybe she was thinking too much.

Rikku was in a slightly dazed cheery good mood, at work, and was eminently disturbable.

Was Jolee a woman yesterday? No, of course not, he's far too old for that kind of silliness.

But Tino was. And thanks to his loyal employee Robin, he handwavily had photographic proof of that.

Was Tino ever going to live that down? "Here's your new name tag," Jolee said, giving Tino a 'Tina' tag. Tino threw it in the garbage, of course. But, really, Jolee was just looking to see the reaction it would get.

[OOC: Photos from Robin modded with permission. I'm around.]

Yesterday morning had proven to Chad that no matter how used to Fandom weirdness you were, you could still have a new learning experience wrought from it.

He also opened the shop and discovered that he didn't actually have a gender-bender mix, and would have to remedy that.

Later. He was feeling a mite lazy today.

Agnes showed up for work very hesitantly this morning. She was glad to have found a job -- at a magic store, no less! -- but not really sure what to think of her new employer. He seemed nice, even if he did ping the wrong side of every sixth sense she had.

The first order of business was to familiarize herself with the store and its merchandise. If that made her look like a customer instead of an employee, well, she'd stop when anyone came in the door.
