The toothache was still present, but it had soothed to a point where Turtle, while still miserable, could at the very least come into work and sit behind the counter and work out a bit of a schedule for Apu to cover her while she checked out the monthly markets. That nifty gum-soothing ointment thing was her best friend in the world right now.

Today's Squishy flavors: Grape Judas, Florine, Bubble Gum

Toby was bouncing around the store, shifting racks, and redressing mannequins. He liked staying busy on dreary days when he missed the warmth of the sunshine on his naked chest. Even though the morning had a slight chill in the air, Toby's uniform at Pixie Dust was shirtless, so he was abiding by Tink's rules and his skin was positively glistening in the fluorescent lighting.

Toby set out a plate of cheesecake squares and little cups of schnapps for hungry shoppers. Of course, if they got food on the clothes, they totes had to buy them. He wasn't that stupid.

Pixie Dust was open!

After a morning of busywork about the place, the park had been set up with several booths for the vendors that were soon to arrive. There were places to mingle, there were places to shop, and there was probably somewhere quiet left somewhere around the grounds, too. Fandom's Monthly Market had opened again.

Occasionally, one could see Cable quietly moving about the premises.

Kevin was sitting behind the desk touching his nipples. The chill air on his walk over had caused them to tense up under this thin t-shirt, and he thought it was really cool. He might have to visit Toby later and see about getting a sweater or something.

There was an exhibit to sweep and some windows to clean, but he would put his shirt back on and get to that later. "Nipples are awesome," he declared, so easily amused.

There was a shimmer in the air at the end of the Causeway, as if an ancient sword had sliced through the night, opening a hole between worlds.

Which was exactly what had happened. Rosie stepped through, pushing her wooden hand-cart before her, and she didn't look back. She was three months shy of her twentieth birthday, and she had just left her home and her family and all she had ever known behind.

Rosie lifted her chin, scowling at the wetness in her eyes, and dashed it away impatiently. She had a place to go, a job as a horse-leech waiting for her, stables to manage. No one from Foggy Bottom had ever had an opportunity like this.

And she wouldn't think about the true reason she'd been sent here, or about purple-dark shadows and greedy voices, or about how this was the strangest place she had ever seen.

Actually, she thought as she took in her surroundings, maybe she would think about that. It certainly bore thinking about, given it was as different from Foggy Bottom as a frog was from a deer. It even smelled different.

[ooc: Open! This is Rosie. She can talk to animals and she's Fandom's new vet - info post is over here.]

Viki was rather bemused at the fact that, technically, she was only to be actually in the lobby for the morning and then down at their booth for the market. Though she'd still be available enough, should people ring the bell.

It was a bit out of the ordinary, she supposed, and was busy enough mulling over that... that setting a special for the day completely escaped her mind.

Ah, well.

The Arms Hotel is Open.

Amateratsu was busy trying to pick up the large array of spilled pencils on the floor. You may ask why they were spilled. The reason rests entirely on the fact that Issun was attempting to show her clothing designs for the employees outfits, and was subsequently chased for their lack of tastefulness.

But now the chase was over, and Issun could be found at the register, trying to clean off a layer of dog slobber.

It was late in the morning when Roy made it to the station after sneaking out of the apartment when Aly had gone out for a moment. He debriefed Ralph before he went into his own office and promptly collapsed on the leather couch, his arm wrapping protectively over the wound.

Maybe this had been a bad idea, but he hadn't been to the station for a week now and just reading the reports wasn't quite the same as being in his office. Now how he was going to get back to the apartment before Aly knew he was gone, he wasn't so sure about.

As much as Fiyero was glad to be himself again ... he half-missed the feminine perks, as it were.

And maybe he was flipping through a girly magazine at the counter of the bookstore today. So sue him!

Besides, maybe he could find something he'd be able to cook.

Lily had come in just for a drink (in her requisite Wonderbra and heels because seriously, some things took some time to get over, such as spending a day looking like a leprechaun), but found the place empty when she got there.

"Hello?" she called, walking further inside.

When no one answered, she said, "Fine. Mine now." They weren't there to serve her, she made her own drinks. Serves them right.

Hurley totally zoomed into work... just a wee bit late. He'd overslept. Oops.

He opened up the shop, and put on the album that Chad had pointed out to him the other week. It was... pretty cool, actually.

[ooc: OCD coming, sorry for lateness! Open!]

The events of the week were a topic that was not to be discussed in the cafe. Fai seemed to be in a bit of a daze - or, at least, more of one than usual - as he rearranged things in the display case. Even Mokona had given up on trying to get his attention, and had gone back to the kitchen instead.
