Rosie was feeling very doubtful as she stood in the middle of the small stables. There were three horses peering at her, slightly worriedly, and one standing by her shoulder, and she wasn't sure, but she thought she might be in shock.

It was the only explanation for the fact that she felt like she was floating. Bold, the black horse at her shoulder, had been patiently explaining things to her for most of the day. Right now, she was stuck on the lights that came on when you touched part of the wall. And the lack of a pump or a well - water gushed out of a tap when you turned the handle.

Is she all right?
Give her time. This is all new to her.
Remember when you were a foal and you saw your first human.
Poor thing.

That snapped Rosie out of it, and she scowled, then nodded once firmly. She had responsibilities, the owner of this -- she struggled for a word -- establishment, whoever he might be, had entrusted it to her.

In a few hours, the horses were turned out, the stalls were clean, and there was a sign prominently displayed where it could be seen from the road.

The Gig

Horses for hire.

Horse-leech (vet) in residence.

Blacksmithing by appointment.

The word 'vet' had been added at Bold's insistence.

Satisfied, Rosie took a seat on an upturned barrel where she could watch the road and started carving a spindle end. The smooth slide of the knife through the wood was soothing and it meant she didn't have to think.

[Open, of course! You can see both Rosie and the sign from the road. The buildings have always been here, just no one noticed, and they're at the edge of the wooded area. If you want a job, Rosie might just give you one. Info about The Gig is here.]

Biff was back at the Wellspring Arms and for once doing something vaguely related to work.

Okay, so he was practicing yoga positions while sitting in a roll-y chair (and falling over kind of a lot), but it was at least kind of work related, right?

Just because he had nothing to do on Sunday mornings anymore didn't mean that he slept any later. His body was used to an early wake up and by the Nameless Name, that was what he got. As such, not much in the mood to clatter around in the kitchen and disturb anyone else's rest, Liir made his way to the Park with his ball. A bit of flour down and the two plastic tubs on the grass gave him a good practice yard which he put to use with great pleasure.

Not that he would mind anyone joining in...

Barney was doing nothing even remotely close to work as he sat in his office, feet up on the desk and phone plastered against his ear. He was trying to find just the right person to make the wedding cake, but Ted was being less than helpful.

"My grandmother would sell her soul to make frosting like that! Dude, how is it rude ask for her number?"

Apparently enough time hadn't passed on that one.

Warren was at work.

Warren was still mildly disturbed about having been a girl a few days ago.

Warren was going to burn anyone alive who came close to him today.

The Specials Board Today:
Half off if you survive Dinner!

Yes, the cheese-grater had scorch marks on his behind again.

Yes, the special for the day had been his idea.

[No OCD today due to possible availability fail. I'll try to ping Warren if you need him, but that could be hours from now.]

Sora had promised Blysse that they would go out for ice cream together just because she had never tried ice cream and to Sora that just didn't see right! The three of them (Yes three. They couldn't leave Blind Seer out of it) stared at the display case at the vast array of flavors available to them.

If the man behind the counter seemed more than a little freaked to have a large wolf in the shop staring intently at the ice cream, he didn't show it. Much.

"Do you know what kind you might want to try first?" Sora asked, making sure the question was posed to both of his companions.

[Thread with sora for one person. Otherwise Chilly Boulder is available. Firekeeper and Blind Seer modded with permission.]

Jolee was grouchy tonight. Not that this was a big change from normal, but it might be noticeable. Somebody else had taken up residence in the woods that had been basically empty aside from him and the animals. The Onsen he could deal with. An abandoned mansion? Not a problem. Other people? That caused minor annoyance. And when Jolee had nothing better to do, he let minor annoyance inspire him into greater curmudgeonly behavior.

And that was what he did for fun, so, really, he probably liked having someone else out there. Not that he'd admit it.

[OOC: Can I call The Gig "The 1000 K?" Ahem. I'm around.]
