There was a weetiny elephant staring up at her on the front desk of the store. This was... disconcerting.

"Shoo. Shoo. Go outside," She hissed, waving her hand at the thing.

Of course, that's when a bright blue donkey of the same size managed to find it's way along side it. And now both were giving her big eyes. If only they realized she wasn't a registered voter.

She was very grateful, beyond words even, that she’d not brought Yei with her to the shop today. It was enough of a handful trying to keep the blue donkeys from eating anything, and the red elephants weren’t much better with the way they stared at her.

Shooing another donkey away from a bookshelf—books were for reading, not for chewing on—Hinata thought that it was highly likely to be a long day. But she was laughing, so that was alright.

Ino blinked down at the blue donkey, then to the Liir-kitten in her arms, and sighed as she opened the shop.

“No one,” she informed them—was that a red elephant beside the Orchids? It was!—while carefully setting Liir-kitten down, “is allowed to eat anyone else today. Play nicely. Got it?”

From the blank stares... they didn’t. “And no eating the plants either, geez.”

It was Adam's first day of work at Android's Dungeon, and as he opened up the place on time, he really didn't expect anything to go terribly wrong today. But, then again, it was Fandom.

Which was why Adam shouldn't have been surprised to find a wee blue donkey and wee red elephant waiting for him on the counter. As soon as he walked in they started babbling at him. Too bad he couldn't vote just yet.

Yeah, Adam was resisting the urge to facepalm.

Android's Dungeon was open for business.

When Teyla spotted the donkeys and elephants outside the shop, she was perfectly content to leave them alone, aside from staring at their strange coloring. But when they started to fight, she quickly got between them, and made them stay on separate sides of the door. It was nice to know that the way animals seemed to pay attention to her could be useful sometimes.

With the pieces for tomorrow's exhibit opening coming in today, Charlotte was very busy and the gallery was in a little bit of a chaos that she tried to keep in a tight, organization rein. All the little elephants and donkeys running around underfoot, however, certainly weren't helping, and, at one point, Charlotte just wanted to stomp down her Choo with frustration and inform them, that she already sent out her absentee ballot, thank you very much, now if they would just leave them to their work in peace!

No more gallery openings on the day after an election day, that was for sure; thankfully, that was a problem she wouldn't have to worry about for another four years.

[[ gallery is closed, but post is open, though I may be prone to sloooooowness until evening ]]

Geoffrey wasn't in sight at rehearsals that afternoon, though there was a beaver backstage.

Tony stepped out on the stage and nearly tripped over a small red elephant and blue donkey that were butting heads. "Shoo," he told them. "I'm Canadian." The donkey tried to hide behind his leg. Tony gave up.

To the cast, he said, "Geoffrey's not here today so we're going to just do scene rehearsals. Anything you guys feel like you need to work on?"

After Claire's request for some "recreational herbs", and the radio's assertion that it would shop there -- and no, Coyote had not yet figured out that there were actual people behind the radio, like there were behind the phone -- Coyote decided to stock up on some of the more "recreational" products.

Which would be how there happened to be a jar of peyote on the counter. And Coyote testing out the smokability of various herbs in the back room.

So far, cat nip was his favorite.

Aravis didn't precisely understand the politics of this country. What she did understand, however, was that normally there were not tiny elephants and asses.

"I can't vote!" she told them, trying to shoo them away. "I'm not old enough! Nor am I a citizen! Go bother someone who understands the government!"

Jack had elected to open the shop early, adding executive experience to his resume. Hey, he could see the US from the shop!

Look, it was only Pepper's second week in Fandom. She'd only just adjusted to her profane landlord and the fact that Bruce Banner's doppleganger was here.

The last thing she needed was a group of little elephants and donkeys skittering across her heels.

"I already voted," she finally told them, from where she'd climbed up on the counter. "Go away."

Sarah was still on her cell phone as she got to the restaurant to wait for Tony. There was a line of red elephants following her, but that wasn't why she was frowning.

"None of the names are in our databases? You're killing me here. I can't do my job if I can't --" The chef was looking at her, and she smiled and lowered her voice. "Get me the information. I don't care how. We're the Agency."

Freaking computer geeks. Honestly. She hung up, then turned her glance to the elephants. "I voted absentee," she informed them, as if this would help.

They were congaing. Until Tony showed up, she was just going to watch them and wait for an excuse to take a shot.

"You are so cute!" It had taken some strategic use of her mighty fangirl stalking skills and quite a few tumbles empty-handed to the ground, but Momoko finally caught one of the tiny red elephants. She was sitting on the grass cuddling and petting it, clutching it tightly despite the desperate and valiant struggles to break free. Every enthusiastic squeeze resulted in another frustrated and loud trumpet from the poor thing which only made her want to squeeze it more. It was also probably what drew the herd of tiny curious donkeys.

The donkeys stopped short when they saw what was going on, though. At the sound of their arrival, Momoko paused her aggressive hugging and looked up, blinking at the newcomers. "And now donkeys? Tiny blue donkeys?! Ah!!"

They were smart donkeys, though. And fast, apparently. "Waiiiiit! Come baaack!" Momoko jumped up, still clutching the poor defeated elephant, as the herd tore off down the path braying with laughter at their opponent's predicament. The elephant sighed.

"Tino, am I drunk or are there elephants and donkeys in here?" Marshall asked.

Both, Marshall. The answer is both.

Tody, Jan was pestering Apu. Why were there so many different sorts of oats? Why did people need so many different kinds of drinks?

Why this, why that, why the other?

Apu's smile was getting rather manic, his eyes slightly glazed, as Jan kept coming up with new questions.

Today's Squishy flavours: Quizzical Quince, Puzzled Peach, and Red.
