Chad was clearly in the middle of a very productive day at work, if you couldn't tell by the stack of music and fashion magazines he was making steady progress through at the counter.

He still couldn't believe it was November already.

And that the store was already getting mail regarding Christmas sales.

Daisy found herself to be a really lovely mood when she came into work that Monday, having found the weekend to be a great step in starting to make things feel a bit more like home, a bit more like her life back in London, save for the severe lack of metropolitan luxuries. Like cars. And multiple dance clubs.

At least the place had a karaoke bar.

She even had herself a nice cup of tea this morning, figuring that it was a good alternative to help dance around that sticky little coffee issue.

Stark Industries, Monday

The security system was close to finished, and there was little more he could really add to it. Instead, Ender had decided to take a close look at Stark's hologram technology, and the way it could be applied to building things.

He understood the basics quickly enough, shifting little blocks from one end to the other. He wasn't completely into it; his mind was still a little preoccupied with the problems that Ben had brought up.

Even if he probably shouldn't.

He was going to have to ask Robin to schedule him another security meeting with Constable Fraser. And, maybe, get Mustang to debrief him on the new additions to the police contingent on the island. On the other hand, he'd been letting Mustang deal with it so far, and that hadn't ended in disaster...

So maybe hands-off was a good call, there.

Cable rubbed his eyes a little bit and went in for the morning's reports, mostly to give himself something to focus on.

If Lacey looked hung over today, it wasn't so much a hangover as it was the lingering effects of a sugar high. (She'd gone home, dressed up as a fairy princess, and twirled around her apartment for a few hours, gorging on candy and lamenting the inferiority of what Americans called Smarties. If you asked her, she was just indulging her inner child.)

The flower vases on the counters had been refreshed with fall-themed bouquets, and Lacey herself was behind the counter, chin propped up on her hand and brow furrowed in confusion as she pored over a newspaper. American elections were weird.

Alex stifled a yawn as she opened up the Magic Box. She'd had one heck of a coughing fit last night and hadn't gotten much sleep as a result. Even though she felt under the weather, she'd armed herself with cough drops and caffeine, and willed herself to town.

Sometimes, Alex was a responsible employee.

The Magic Box was open.

Clipboard in hand and a lot of coffee in her system, Charlotte busied herself that morning with going through the open space of the gallery and reviewing her layout plan for the exhibit coming in tomorrow. She'd spent many hours planning it, but, of course, one could never be too careful, and she felt it was important to ensure that everything was planned perfectly to avoid any confusion at all for when the pieces arrived and had to be put up.

She'd also made sure that all the posters were perfectly centered in the windows for people to see.

With it getting dark earlier, that meant Buffy was out earlier for patrol. And yeah, she knew she wasn't going to find anything, probably, but it didn't matter.

Mostly because she was getting something coffeelike first, as was becoming habit. Specifically apple cider in a to-go cup so she could take it with her. As soon as she got up from this comfy little window seat.

Bender had no real interest in democracy - 21st or 31st century, American or Earth politics. But he did like money. The more the better. Plua, this wasn't even illegal, or at least he wasn't planning on getting caught.

So after he'd propped out the Gig's sign, Bender could be found just inside the doors of the smithy, trying to remember his old-Earth politicians.

Maybe his cheating unit needed a boost.
