There was a roast duck on Eliza's counter with a peony stuck in its... let's us just say a rather indelicate spot and leave it at that. What on Earth?

At least... she thought it was a duck, but it was quite a bit larger than usual, and when she sliced it open -- because who finds an entire roast bird, crispy and steaming, on their service counter of a morning and doesn't carve it? -- there was... DEAR GOD. WHAT?

But it smelled so good.

So good that. Well. There was currently no E in the sign over the door at all, and the one in the window was Lola's from yesterday, lacking any of Eliza's usual embellishments:

Covent Garden Flowers

Eliza Doolittle, prop.
Fresh flowers from nosegays to bouquets!
Delivery available upon request.

There were, however, a lot of plates of sliced turducken lying about, garnished with peonies in perfectly respectable places.

Coyote wandered into the store on Thursday to the wondrous discovery that the White Man had finally delivered his turkey.

And it was even more lovely and amazing than he thought. It was a turkey with a duck in it! A duck that had a chicken in it!

Thanksgiving was the best day of the year!

Now he just had to figure out how to trick Santa Claus the Great Pumpkin the White Man into giving him more than one, next year. . . .

Coyote Medicine wasn't so much open as happening to be unlocked.

[ooc: and flying OCD free, today. I'm around for another couple hours before I run to do family things]

Most of his bugs at Stark's had been discovered; Cable was fairly sure of that. He'd disabled the rest just in case anyone got any ideas about payback in unscrupulous ways. It wasn't as if they'd turned out to be as necessary as he'd thought they'd be at first.

But that was a different kind of business. Today, he'd flipped the Open sign and taken out his laptop, revelling in the utter lack of paperwork. He was doing some more research on trouble spots in Sri Lanka-- you never knew what might come in handy.

He still hadn't mailed Irene the letter.

One good thing about being a guy who can duplicate himself is that he can stuff his face on this special day of days and still work a job.

Unfortunately it was this duplicate who ended up stuck at Turtle and Canary.

But since there was Turducken? He was working and stuffing his face.

Best of both worlds really. Except for the working part. Shush.

Linz wasn't feeling much for a holiday celebration. Wo she brought Marth to work and took the opportunity to review files of her new employer and learn as much as she could about the company as well as its CEO. Normally she'd be at the Washburns downing a bottle of wine with Jill and Claire while Ed, Cindy and the boys watched Football. It was a nice thought.

A thought that she pushed to the side. She had a new job now. And a Turkey sandwich was a completely adequate substitute for a full turkey dinner. It wasn't until she heard some strange noises that she looked up to see Martha in the corner devouring a-

What the fuck?

"Martha, where the hell did you get a turducken?"

Given that both Robin and her boyfriend (and by extension, their dogs) were Canadian, she hadn't felt compelled to do anything for Thanksgiving. They'd celebrated last month, after all.

So, she was at work with her laptop since she wasn't expecting many people, and was busy watching the cutest thing in the world.

Tino, for some reason, didn't seem all that thrilled that she was back.

Weird.

[I'm aroundish, but in an omfg-ate-so-much-need-nap sort of haze, so I'll be slow!]

Ichigo had a small bag slung over his shoulder as he waited at the entrance to the Onsen for Ino. There were several things he was trying not to think of right now. One thing in particular kept popping up involving Ino and bathing suits.

Nope, he was going to stop thinking about that now. And he wouldn't think of it... Well, until he got inside, he supposed. Did he go crazy agreeing to this? Probably.

[[Ichigo is here for Ino, but the Onsen is open for you Thanksgiving Onsen needs.]]
