If Viki had had a choice in where she would be today, then she would have opted to stay in bed. Unfortunately, she didn’t have a choice—not unless she wanted to claim sickness, and she wasn’t sick, so she thought that would be terribly unfair to expect anyone else to cover for her when she was just lying—and so was there. At work.

And fairly lethargic for Viki. She doodled absently in one of the sketchbooks, but that was about the extent of her motivation for the day.

Dor thought he had gotten to the store on time to open only to be informed by the cash register that he should have been here at 5:00 am.

"I don't understand," Dor said with a frown. "Why do I need to be here so early? It's just another day."

The cash register sighed and called him an idiot. Dor shrugged and opene the store as usual.

[Open! However I seem to be the cause of failed notifications as whenever I get online they turn off. Sorry!]

Jen looked pretty bedraggled by the time she got to work today, with smudges on her face, her boots scuffed, and a torn sleeve -- not because she'd actually run into anything in the warehouse district (she was never going to stop being suspicious of it).

Oh, no. She'd just gotten the brilliant idea to head out to the mainland and see for herself what the infamous 21st-century "Black Friday" sales were like.

She was actually kind of amazed she'd gotten out of that situation without morphing. It had been really close for a while there.

[OOC: OCD-free, open, SP for a bit while I run a few errands AS FAR AWAY FROM THE MALL AS POSSIBLE KTHX.]

Hurley opened the store all happy and humming to himself.

Mary ended up spending a quiet Thanksgiving in the hotel yesterday. She probably should have gone out and done something but it was too tempting to stay at home in her pajamas all day. Today she was making up for it by getting to work with the holiday decorations for the lobby.

Okay, so she was making Gunther do most of the heavy lifting, but still, it took a lot of effort to keep Gunther in line.

Liir looked a little finer than he usually did, mostly because he had, well, a date later. And he felt rather good about having a date later. It was a whole wonderful thing.

It went without saying that Liir came in early, cleaned early, and opened a little early.

He wasn't bouncing, exactly, but a smile didn't leave his face.

The Book Haven was open.

[ocdless but open!]

Ray and his bandaged hand were at the station. Ray and his bandaged hand were reading the reports on the whole freaky general-slash-Stark deal. Ray and his bandaged hand were not really happy about the way this investigation had gone.

Ray smelled something fishy. His hand, having no nostrils, didn't. He dumped his feet on the table and flipped through the file again.

Hey, it was actual policework, he was not gonna back down on it.

Rikku had utterly stuffed herself yesterday on turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and just about anything else she could get her hands on. And then she had slept like crazy.

So she was a little tired and a little full, but in a fabulous mood. And the store was totally open.

Liir was rather pleased with the evening so far, as he had Amber on one arm and a bag of various hot food in the other that smelled rather enticing.

[for one, of course, but open for boardwalky needs]

Ella was in the diner early, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, and would have been a cheerful employee if things had gone as planned.

Unfortunately, as soon as she got there, one of the chefs told her to "Stand here, girl, and stir this pot" and then immediately disappeared on some urgent personal business. Hours passed, and the soup cooked, cooked more, and then started to turn to a thick mush before Ella turned off the heat. But she would be stuck stirring the cooling pot until another command released her.

It wouldn't have been so bad if the rest of the kitchen staff hadn't looked so bloody amused.

[OOC: Limited availability today, mod away unless you want SP.]

There were very few occasions where Minsc would ever been seen without his armour.

Stewing away comfortably in hot water while the air was chilly was one of those such occasions. It felt good to soak sore muscles and limbs and wounds in the hot spring, and he was rather glad that his occasional forays of patrolling the island for a little bad-doing led him there.

Unfortunately, making sure that Boo did not fall in was keeping him from being as completely relaxed as he'd like. The hamster kept trying, but Minsc knew that Boo wasn't much of a swimmer. He just wished he'd stick to the little tub of water that he'd had someone bring out for him, but he certainly couldn't blame the critter for his adventurous, exploring spirit!

[[ I'm disappearing for a movie in about an hour, but random-as-all-hell inspiration struck and refused to be ignored! Open onsen, open post, any sp that occurs is love! ]]

To someone who was from a galaxy far, far away and had been to so many planets with far too many local customs to remember all of them, Thanksgiving wasn't anything too special. It was just another harvest festival, only it wasn't done with nearly the style or stench of a harvest festival on Kashyyyk. Wookiees knew how to party.

So this weekend was just another weekend to Jolee.

Tino, on the other hand, was wearing a hat shaped like a turkey.

[OOC: I may be a little slow tonight. I just got The Force Unleashed for Nicksgiving and I may be tempted to play it right now.]

Rosie - human again and human still, and grateful for it (even if none of the animals thought it was an improvement over the previous three weeks) - was very busy. Very busy, indeed.

She'd swept, cleaned, scrubbed, groomed, picked, washed and generally been a veritable whirlwind of activity since early this morning. Why? One, it was a good way to keep warm, and two, it was a good way to keep the mind occupied.

She hadn't gone to see Minsc on Wednesday. She'd meant to, but then somehow she'd become engrossed with working at the forge and just hadn't made it. If her mind wasn't otherwise occupied, she'd suspect it hadn't been an accident that she'd gotten busy.

With a huff of breath, Rosie dropped to sit on the steps of the smithy, where it was warm from the heat of the forge, and looked around the Gig. Everything from the horses to the cobble path gleamed.

It felt like a good day for rain. And the walking around in it.

Viki doubted, the weather and temperature being what it was that she’d get the sort of rain that she felt the mood called for. Which, really, was rather inconsiderate of the weather, but it was not as if there were anyone she could write to and complain about this unsatisfactory state of affairs.

She sighed. And entertained herself by pretending it was raining.
