The tiny little candles that had littered the floor of her bedroom (and her desk, and her chair, and the spare bed too) had been weird enough but she’d just shrugged and figured, whatever, it was just Fandom being crazy again and that was alright with her.

Her opinion shifted rather towards mirthful when she came by the shop and found that, yes, every flat surface here too was covered with them. Wondering how, exactly, she’d be able to help customers with things like this, Ino picked her way over to Cable-san’s chair and flopped down. Well. Alright then. She left the overhead lights off because there was more than enough light to see by, and amused herself by trying to blow out the candles on his desk. She'd figure out the whole... helping people out thing if people actually showed up.

Romeo blinked when he came into the store. The counter was absolutely covered with miniature votive candles. It was pretty, if the store wasn't filled with cloth.

He went to blow one out. The flame died and sprang back to life. He tried smothering another beneath a cup; it roared away (as much as a votive could roar) after he lifted the cup.

So he decided to sit behind the counter and just enjoy them, staring at the flames until his mind drifted away. Fire, pretty.

The overhead lights were off, but Pixie Dust was open.

Sarah decided to avoid the multiplying pile of paperwork on her desk today, at least for a time, by spackling and painting over the knife holes in her office wall.

She could have assigned that to one of her employees, she supposed, but that would have involved explaining how they came to be there, and she'd rather they not know. So she'd just left the office door locked until her next shift.

Once she was done painting, she opened the office door so the room would air out and took her place at the counter. Grudgily, she started thumbing through one of the files of paperwork. She would never understand why everyone needed everything in triplicate.

[OOC: Open shop, no OCD.]

Johnny was at work and set up the menu board. It was going to be pretty easy today and the kitchen staff thanked him for that which surprised him. It'd been too long since he'd singed someone's hair.

Maybe next week.

There were a couple of extra boxes of doughnuts sitting in the break room today. And even more curious was the fact that there was a coffee pot labeled "Good" and another one labelled "Bad".

And even more shocking was a bowl of M&M's sitting next to the coffee station.

If asked Dale would only say it was an incentive for his employees to do good work.

Ralph on the other hand was pissed because there was no apple pie.

Behind the counter, after a couple packs of something to help her feel better, Amber grabbed a book and settled back to read. It was by sheer accident and lack of will, that her eyes drooped and she fell asleep. Oops.

Spotting the light through the store windows when she arrived to open up today, Katchoo had a rant all ready about stupid people leaving the lights on before they left. That planned tirade quickly went off the rails upon sight of the tiny candles covering every surface in the store, at which point Katchoo scrambled to get all the paper and anything flammable out of the way.

She did let loose with another rant shortly afterward, though, upon discovering that she'd forgotten her lighter in her room, and the stupid candles wouldn't actually light a damn thing.

[OOC: OCD-free and open, mega SP until evening again. *shuns work*]

Warren kind of felt like he was stupidly overdressed to be sitting inside a Chinese restaurant. He'd figured the suit jacket was appropriate, especially given the chill outside, but the tie might have been too much. Was it too much? He hoped not. He'd asked the waiter who had shown up to take his order, instead of actually giving his order, and now everyone in the building thought he was insane.

But at least they'd figured out he was waiting for someone.

The tie. It was definitely too much, wasn't it?

[Warren is here waiting for Momoko in particular for great Slowplay Justice, but the rest of the restaurant is open, as moddable NPC businesses tend to be.]

Herr Meier had sent Lola a holiday care package. His letter swore up and down it was actually her dad's idea, but she had a feeling he was lying.

Either way, she had Pfeffernüsse, Weihnachtsstollen, an advent calendar, and more packages of Haribo gummis then she'd even quite known existed. And a whole lot more holiday spirit than she'd had a couple hours ago.

Hence the place being filled with poinsettias and Christmas cacti.

The past week or so had been as if the world had come alive. Or alight. Everything seemed to have a bit of a glow to it, which is why it took Jeff most of the morning to realise that the candles that had popped up around the lobby weren't, in fact, just figments of his feverish, blissful imagination.

Still, he took it in stride, and sung a little 'halelujah!' every time he passed by one.

Already having gotten into the water--oh, blissfully warm--Temari closed her eyes and relaxed with this small bit of home on the island. Even if it was only a luxury in Suna.

Now all she needed was some chocolate and a boyfriend to threaten to dunk.

And people thought she didn't have a sense of humor...

Teddy was never every drinking again. Ever.

Not that he had a hangover, oh no. Alien biology was great for that, but now he was just tired. He tried his best not to fall asleep at the front desk of the gallery, but that didn't quite seem to be enough.

Well, at least he wasn't snoring.

Alice was feeling particularly adventurous, and decided to wander through the aisles, stop at random, and grab the first thing she encountered.

Extinguished: Outtakes by Prefuse 73. Very well. She popped it into the CD player and attempted to see how she felt about it.

She still wasn't sure, a few minutes in, but she was willing to give it a try. Adventuring always yielded interesting results, even if they were unexpected.

(OOC: OCD-free today. Yes, I hit "random article" until I found something music related.)

Penelope was in a cheerful mood. Having won the karaoke contest and fifty dollars, she had been a boucy little thing all day. Her flowers were pretty, the short phone call from her mother was short, and she had recieved a new care package containing her favorite chocolate cakes. Today really couldn't get any better.

...unless Max were to walk through the door and apologize and demand she marry him.

Since that was not likely to happen, Penelope accepted her glass of beer from Tino and settled in to watch the band. They were all wearing blonde wigs tonight and extreme low riding pants, singing some song about a circus.

Ichigo was rapidly starting to hate work. He didn't think this was him overreacting. Not when the first thing that happened to him when he opened the door was for a box to fall on his head. A box filled with feather and a gooey substance that used to be chocolate sauce.

He stood in the store for a whole of fifteen seconds before he pulled the box off his head and he turned right around and left again. Twenty minutes later, Ichigo returned, his hair still wet from his shower. When he opened the door once more - pushing it open and waiting for a moment to make sure nothing dropped down again - he noticed a rat eating from the chocolate.

"Hey! Quit that!" he shouted, which was probably the wrong reaction as the rat took off under one of the racks.

Sighing, he cleaned up the mess before he put the sign carefully between the candles.

After handwavily asking Abby Irene to dinner earlier during the day, Murdock met her at the apartment and escorted her down to the restaurant.

The candles that were everywhere seemed perfect and he couldn't stop grinning.

"So how did you like the holiday?"

(Murdock's here with Abby Irene, but Thai place is open for all your dinner needs.)
