Jen came in to work today to find that someone had stuck a little frowny-face sticker to the jar of red pepper flakes.

The staff was kind of disappointed that she didn't start yelling about it, and surprised that she left the sticker there.

. . . it was kind of nice, though.

[OOC: Uh, I have no idea. Mod your service because I'll be AFK most of the morning/afternoon, though.]

When told he had a single student for detention this week, Ronon had been almost disappointed. At least, until he found out it was John Sheppard.

The MHA pool wasn't so bad off after that Jason kid had set things up a few weeks back, but Ronon knew Loki appreciated free labor and what better way to make Sheppard spend his hours of detention than in a task that could benefit many?

So there was John, standing in the water with a scrub brush and cleaner, making faces and complaining that it was not warm enough for this treatment.

[For meeee Open, sure!
ETA: I would like to take a moment to thank myself for not thread-dropping myself as per usual. Go me.]

Today Robin was setting up a display of trade paperbacks, collecting comics from the 80's. It was strange feeling nostalgic for a time period that was still going on where he was from.

The Android's Dungeon is open.

"So, have you played pool before?" Dinah asked, handing over a cue to Leto. "Or does that even matter?"

The smell of popcorn pervaded the pool hall and bowling alley, and the sound of video games in the background was almost drowned out by the music system.

"I'll break, just to give you the idea."

Her head ached, just a bit, and Viki in a rather peculiar mood that she couldn’t find words to adequately describe and spent her time, upon arriving at work with her hair spilling down her shoulders and not really doing anything.

Just staring, and thinking. Every now and then she’d fidget with a bit of paper, but sketching had no appeal to her today.

Hurley opened the store today, a smile on his face. He put on a mix of songs by Presidents of the United States of America, Weezer, and OK Go.

It was a very odd day for the store music, apparently.

But, Groovy Tunes was open for business!

[ooc: But please wait for OCD, please! Open!]

Marion had beaten Tino in the weekly rock-paper-scissors match to see who would have to tape up the zombies that day. This put her a very good mood considering that the drummer had somehow lost several limbs that day.

With the weather finally fucking warm enough to be outside without fear of freezing, Loki was doing exactly that. Even with it being dark, it was still warm enough to drag his lazy ass poolside. Of course, he'd lit a few of those deck lamps to provide some light and had put smaller candles on each of the tables around the pool to create even more. It wasn't Christmas lights but it looked pretty fucking good.

He wasn't planning on doing much besides sitting out there and relaxing but he figured this was a step up from sprawling like a lump of nothing on his couch even if his couch was comfortable. Maybe he should have just dragged his couch out here.

Next time.

This time, he was content with his lounge chair, his many bottles of water, and his pool. Maybe he'd even get in. Or maybe not. He liked leaving things up to fate.

Fucking fate.

[open, of course! just staving off booooooooredom!]

The store was closed, and the door was locked -- safer that way -- and Rikku was trying not to tear up a little.

Janice was contentedly clapping her hands and chattering to herself, and she smelled like baby and sunshine and win, and Rikku was going to miss her so, so, so much.

She'd passed on the news to Temari the ever-lurking and Reno the trying-not-to-admit-he-was-smitten. They'd bundled up the wee one and had brought down everything they could grab in a hurry, in case Cable wouldn't have time to stop for supplies before getting to wherever she was headed. Diapers, food, toys that squeaked. The crib wasn't very portable, so it was still in her room. She had a feeling it was going to make her wibble, later.

"Who has such pretty eyes?" she cooed, watching the door. Tense. If it was anyone other than Cable who burst in .... "Such pretty eyes. So pretty."

(Reno and Temari modded with permission. For them and Cable, please.)

Cable was not amused.

In fact, the past week had been a spectacular waste of time.

And yet none of that seemed to matter; Rikku's voicemail had been far more important. Or rather, what was attached to it. So Cable discarded his annoyance as best as he could (which is to say he was still annoyed, but that wasn't the point) and by the time he stalked up the Causeway towards the island, it had all melted down into sheer purpose.

"Home sweet home," he said, wryly, and crossed over into Fandom.
