Millie was here and happy to help anyone who might need anything!

Helen spent a good portion of the morning assuring the horses that the harpies were gone and were not returning.

She'd even managed to convince herself in the end. And had gotten all of the daily chores down, which meant she could sit down and put her feet up unless anyone stopped by.

Theme of the day? Loud. Very loud.

Peyton could be found sketching at the counter. She'd finally made up her mind and felt relieved and nervous all at the same time.

Still, it was good to be at work and doing something.

Well. Yesterday had been a day, that was for frikkin' sure.

Today was much, much quieter so far, but Katchoo, nursing a lump on her head from getting clipped by a harpy wing, paced the store anyway while today's Griffin Silver CD of choice played, suspiciously peering out the window or the door.

It's too dark today
Hardly a change from the night to the day
Did you walk out on me, or did I send you away?
God, it's really clear that I can't run things from here
What do you do when you feel this way
When there's years to go, and it started today?

It wasn't entirely applicable to the situation if you really thought about it, but Katchoo was all about the selective interpretation.

[OOC: OCD-free, open, Griffin Silver lyrics actually by Terry Moore from volume 3, issue 22. I hope Terry's wife convinces him to really record all the songs from the series and put 'em on CD with the Omnibus edition.]

The thing about being suspended from the CIA for a month was that the paperwork wasn't also suspended. Sarah woke up to an overflowing email inbox, orders to call one of the students she was working with, and a couple of manila folders of forms she needed to fill out. Oh, and they wanted her full report on the harpy attacks, preferably before noon.

It felt good to be doing something useful again.

Hand taped where a harpy had gouged her with her claws, Sarah sat at the comic shop counter trying to transcribe Wednesday's radio to include with her report. It would be an easier task if she could quit giggling.

[OOC: Open store, OCD-free.]

Yes, That Sign was still up. And yet, the woman cleaning unmentionable things that we won't mention from it was whistling a happy little tune. Why? Because That Sign would soon disappear - or perhaps she could donate it to the bake shop?

Anyway, the one in the window read, as was becoming usual:

Covent Garden FLOWERS

Eliza Doolittle, prop.
Fresh FLOWERS from nosegays to bouquets! Also, for a limited time only, fresh flour.
Delivery available upon request.

Now Hiring For Wednesday Position.

There was something very scary going on in the Arms Hotel, even more frightening than yesterday's harpies. Gunther was in love.

Hoshi, who really didn't believe in true love, was absolutely nauseated. "She's just going to break your heart in the end," she tried to warn Gunther, but he wasn't listening.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!
Today's Specials
Fried Clams and Oysters
Roasted Fresh Figs with Gorgonzola
Asparagus Salad with Walnut Oil Vinaigrette
Chocolate Cherry Trifle

Priestly was a little bit late getting to the diner, today. He had about fifty different reasons for this, of varying creativity and epic nature, not a single one of which was true.

Sometimes, you're just late 'cause you're late.

Still, explaining those fifty reasons to the kitchen staff kept them distracted from teasing him or putting stuff in his hair, so, hey, upside!

Today's specials
Ten inch spicy Italian (not a euphemism)
Hotpot (also not a euphemism)
Frozen banana on a stick (still not a -- you get the point)

Luke's was open.

After leaving a handwavey message for Sokka about where she'd be, Dinah headed back to the beach again-- this time with boomerangs and batarang in hand.

zzzzzzing out over the water, then curving back to the gold sand, and concentrating much harder than usual to make it come back to rest at her feet. Over and over and over.

Tony was working on the lights today - mostly checking bulbs and gels, but also hauling a couple of extra fixtures from the storage room and hanging them from the lighting grid. Every now and then, he'd take a break for a bit and try to use his magic to move something with his mind, the way Merlin could. Which meant that someone coming in the theatre might find him sitting cross-legged on the stage, staring intently at a screwdriver that was doing absolutely nothing at all. Dammit.

[Open, OCD free.]

After grabbing a bite to eat, Johnny and Savannah headed down the boardwalk, his arm drapped around her to keep her from getting chilled. It was cold, but anyone close to him would hardly feel the bite in the air, and he thought they could use an evening out together, just the two of them.

"Did you get enough to eat, babe? We could stop off for a hot chocolate if you want..."

[OOC: For the girl, but the boardwalk is an open, public place!]

For the first time in what felt like forever, Robin was actually behind the bar, antagonizing Tino and serving up drinks herself.

It was weird how she'd actually missed it.

Another exciting, fun-filled day at work! Not really. Thankfully, Murdock was quite capable of entertaining himself. Today he had a rubber band and was busy shooting paper balls at the trash can.

Just soooo much work, don't ya know.

Maybe he should make a few phone calls. Just to pester the hell out of people make sure everyone was getting along okay.

Pizza Planet, Friday

Another Friday, another shift at the old pizza parlor, but at least this week Jen was in a better mood. Bandaged in a dozen places and still limping a bit after getting dropped a couple hundred feet by a harpy the other day, but in a better mood. (She was so used to the aftermath of those insanely long falls by now.)

She was also parked behind her laptop at the counter, seemingly intent on studying something . . . though what she was actually doing was catching up on the first two episodes of the new Racerranger series, since she'd missed the premiere last week.

It was wildly different from what she'd read in the Ranger history archives, and wow, that girl was nothing like Summer Landsdowne, but she actually really, really liked it so far.

Ignore the dorky noises coming from the area by the cash register. That's just . . . yeah. Jen being Jen in that special, special way that happens when spandex is involved.

[OOC: OCD-free, open, a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down in a most delightful way, etc. etc. Racerranger is meta that I just made up for Power Rangers RPM -- which in FH terms is essentially Engine Sentai Go-Onger badly dubbed into English. God, I love Go-Onger's special brand of crack. Also, I think RPM is freaking awesome and may just rival Time Force for best PR series ever. And now this OOC note may be longer than the post.]
