After Zoe had told him and Dean and their dad about what had happened to Grace, Sam had spent the afternoon and evening trying to figure out what was going on. While he hadn't gotten all the details, he'd managed to end the day with two important bits of information: it wasn't just Grace that had been taken, and there might have to be some violence involved in getting her back. Unsurprisingly to anyone who knew Winchesters well, he wasn't all that bothered by the second part.

He'd put out a few calls to people he hoped would be willing to help, and was on the lookout for more willing volunteers. They were going to need all the help they could get to find those who had been taken, and get them back safely.

Her eye still hurt like a son of a bitch, but at least, as it turned out, the bruising wasn't quite as bad as she thought it'd be. Thank god for ice packs, Katchoo supposed, but still. Annoying. To say she wasn't much for makeup was an understatement, but this week it at least helped (she hoped) keep the annoying questions to a minimum.

She was at the counter, trying to review the workshop schedule (she'd already picked out what exactly she would not under any circumstances be taking) while something by Harry Belafonte played on the radio.

And then suddenly there were bananas, some of them in a bowl on the counter practically demanding to be drawn as a still life, others suspended from fishing line from the ceiling like a 3-D installation, and one sad, empty, droopy banana peel draped over the top of the cash register as if in homage to "The Persistence of Memory."

". . . the hell," Katchoo said, then shrugged and helped herself to a banana from the bowl.

[OOC: Come, mister tally man, tally my OCD-free. Massive, massive SP until after work is highly likely today. This trend will continue all week. And next week. JOY. The banana trend, however, is still [livejournal.com profile] bridge_carson's fault.]

Hiding out in her room was starting to sound better and better, really. There was even no point in getting mad at Cal for having the nerve to leave while she was at work and couldn’t speak to him one last time because there was no one around to take her irritation of that out on.

Hon-est-ly.

Ino was at work, however sulkily, and curled up in Cable-san’s chair doodling in her notebook. Idly, she hoped that this week would get better. It had to, right?

Right.

Wellspring Arms is Open.

Tyler knew there would be some new responsibilities that went with his summer managing gig at the gym. New challenges, even. He would welcome that.

He just didn't expect the new challenge on his first day to be banana skins heaped on each of the gym's treadmills. Squinting, he tried to will them to pick themselves up (which didn't work) before starting to collect the banana skins, trying not to fall down himself.

This might be a very long day.

[OOC: OCD ran away with the fruit of the bananas, which I'm blaming on [livejournal.com profile] bridge_carson even though I totes stole it from [livejournal.com profile] thismaskiwear.]

Liir had spent most of yesterday making sure that a growing Makejoy didn't eat the miniature mariachi players. As such, he was a little exhausted today. He set up the menu, settled at one of the seats in the back of the kitchen to watch over the process, and relaxed a little.
Today's Specials
Salsa and Chips
Ginger Garlic Steak
Thai Chicken Salad
Cheesecake Brownies

The Cafe Fina was open.

So, Loki couldn't back down from a fucking challenge. Especially when he was so thoroughly baited and backing down would have mean admitting...something. And that was how he came to be standing outside the tattoo shop, waiting for Daisy.

To get a fucking tattoo.

An insane fucking tattoo.

He had no idea what was wrong with his brain, really, but there was no way he wasn't going to show up and let some guy or girl draw on his skin in permanent ink. He'd done stupider things.

Not by much.

[Loki is obviously stupid there for Daisy but open place in town, of course!]

Joan almost forgot to show up for work today. She wasn't used to her new schedule yet.

But there she was and the shop was open for business.

Rusty was quite happy when he realized the wee mariachi band was gone today. They had given him a headache.

He was processing paperwork for a new tenant and making sure all of the vacant apartments were clean given the influx of folks who were expected to move to town this weekend.

Penelope was behind the bar, drying glasses. She was tapping her toe to the music the band played and while she wasn't a huge fan of classic rock, she actually liked the music they were playing tonight. She just hoped the duct tape held as they seemed to really get into the guitar. She wouldn't like to be the one to have to tape them back up.

Caritas is open.

[Siiick. Mod Tino, pls as I'm not sure when or if I'll be able to pick up pings.]

Naomi was on time for her shift, making sure that everything was set up and organized before she opened.

Stark Industries is open.
