"Why are there egg rolls?" Jen asked as soon as she arrived at work and found a large plate of them stacked on the counter. "This isn't Ching Tai."

Closer inspection, though, proved that the "egg rolls," covered in some kind of sweet, sticky glaze, were, in fact, banana egg rolls. And oh my god, they were good. So hey, if they were going to keep appearing all over the counter by the plateful? Jen wasn't complaining at all.

Today's Special
Peanut Butter and Banana Pizza
Hope you're not allergic.

The kitchen boys had decided to do something with the surprise flat of bananas that had been in the storeroom this morning, evidently. But not even Jen was going to touch that one.

[OOC: To be OCD-free, to live and learn, did we pass or fail the term? Slowish again today, but desperately craving toron now. I may have to hunt some down on my way home . . .]

Jenny wasn't sure why Pixie Dust had gotten a large shipment of clothes intended for Banana Republic, nor did she really care. They were just there, so she put them out. She actually found a few things she liked in among them, which was good. She could use some more trousers. She even found some new white ones to replace her old pair, since white didn't hold up very well.

With Rikku gone, the store was starting to go short on employees. Not that Cable particularly needed them - but they made for a good second line of defense. If the enemy didn't arrive bearing a friend's face.

He was going to have to add shapeshifters; unidentifiable by telepathy to his list of potential threats to prepare for. Mindful of that, he still turned the sign on the door in the morning, fed Tether, and spent some time with Jan in the meditation room.

Mainly, trying to get her to keep still.

When Ray finally got to work after a week and a half of vacation, he had-- buckets of paperwork. And he was pretty sure Rick was laughing at him behind the stupid helmet. This might have been why Ray was spending his first day back on the job wadding up balls of the stupid stuff.

Just waiting. Waiting. Waiting for Rick to pass by and--

He was still snickering long after Rick stopped glaring.

Savannah was still in the midst of rearranging the store, but she was taking a break to chew out someone on the phone.

"No. That's unacceptable. It was supposed to be delievered today and I want it today. That bike is a graduation gift for a special someone and I will not have him thinking that I forgot to get him something. Now, you get your people in gear and you get that to our store before the end of business today or you and your people will find heads rolling."

Savannah was almost growling as she hung up the phone and went back to tugging at shelves and displays.

Nast's was open.

[[OOC: There is no OCD today as it went to get some sun.]]

There was some really big movie premiere this weekend. Mary knew she would have gone to see it if she was still living in Las Vegas with girlfriends who had nothing better on a Friday night. If Mike was around, she probably would have been talked into going to the mainland to see it. But faced with the prospect of going by herself... Well, she could wait for it to come out on DVD.

So Mary sat at the front desk, trying to figure out how to fill the gaps in her schedule now that three of her employees were gone and wondering when she got so boring.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!

Dor cheerfully went about his day making sure the shop was well in order.

Except for all the bananas that kept randomly appearing in the cash register.

Weird.

It seemed like a pretty good idea at the time. There was all this talk about the flu going around, and Harper knew that money was supposed to be one of the germiest things you could ever touch.

So that's why there was a clothes line strung up across the length of the store with soggy cash pinned to it.

Things Reborn was open, and it was a really good day to pay by credit card or exact change only.

[Open! The OCD fled in terror.]

Liir was at work, still puzzling over the issue of the portals. He'd spent most of last night working on research, considering what they actually were at least in the context of his own abilities, and if he could ever do anything that would be remotely useful to Arthur.

He was reasonably sure the answer would be 'no' with a possible addendum of 'at least, not for a few months'. Someday he'd figure out something better than how he was doing it, but with both of his possible instructors gone, he was rather on his own.

That's why today at work, he decided to try reading about knitting again. At least if he screwed up with that, all he'd have to deal with was a bit of frogging.

[ocdless but come on by!]

Arya was once again at Coyote Medicine and re-arranging the artifacts display. She was of the opinion that it looked better the way she displayed it. Feel free to tell her otherwise. Really.

Today was the day before the day the new kids came! Kaylee could hardly believe she'd been there for a whole year already.

This would be what prompted her to scrupulously take pictures of her entire walk to work, and of her work today. Her mama'd not had an update in awhile.

[AFK after like 7 EST, but otherwise open!]

Hurley's bruises were still visible, but they were down considerably from the day before. He just hoped they weren't noticable enough that they'd distract anybody or anything. He didn't need the sympathy, he just wanted things to be back to normal.

Or, well, whatever passed for normal on the island.

He opened up the shop with that mindset.

The sign in the window read:

Covent Garden Flowers

Eliza Doolittle, prop.
Fresh flowers from nosegays to bouquets!
Delivery available upon request.

[ooc: OCD free, since I was super late getting this up. My apologies.]

"I've had a bad couple of weeks," Jolee told Tino. "So I think we'll all be happier tonight if nobody annoys anyone tonight."

And with that, Tino put down his water pistols.

[OOC: I'm around!]

New students were coming!

Agnes busied herself dusting and straightening the shop, and tried to rearrange things to put the items most useful for an apprentice witch up front and the more dangerous things in back.

She took a break to try to use a big, gorgeous crystal ball to try to take a look at the new students before they arrived, but the reception on it was horrible.
