Worf was behind the counter reading an interesting model on rifle scopes from an issue of "Sniper's Monthly" that was left on the counter.

Granted Worf would never use such a thing, but the article was very well written.

Someone had discovered the existence of black Sharpie markers... )

Of course, Someone had spent quite a long, dizzying while unintentionally sniffing them while colouring on That Dratted Sign, so Someone's window placard said:

Covent Garden Flowers WITH AN EEEEEEE!

Eliza Doolittle, prop.
Fresh flowers from nosegays to bouquets! Except for buttercups. We're right out of those.
Delivery available upon request.

It was Monday, yes. The busboy had attempted to call in sick with a case of the Mondays, and Lacey had told him flat-out that she wasn't going to buy it.

She halfway wished she'd bought it -- or let him think she did anyway -- because half an hour into his shift he was stumbling exaggeratedly around the diner groaning melodramatically. To the tune of bagpipe music courtesy of the cook.

. . . okay then.

Romeo didn't know why he was reading that book with the sparkly vampires in it at work today; he'd found it under his bed in the cabin the afternoon before, and somehow before he knew it he was on page 250 and it was past midnight.

At the shop, he did some cursory paperwork, then settled in behind the counter with the battered paperback. He sympathized with the hero immensely (how could he not?), but the "watching her while she slept" bit struck even Romeo as a tiny bit over the top.

Pixie Dust was open, and the manager would hide his book if anyone came in.

[OOC: The OCD fell in love with the lamb and went off to sparkle at her in some field somewhere. And yeah, RP is imitating life here, 'cause I'm a dork.]

Alex opened up the shop, armed with a cup of coffee. She was looking up stories from people who'd purchased charms and potions and how they'd either backfired or succeeded.

The backfired stories were kind of funny.

Dressed to her best to proudly represent the Associates part of all this, Turtle was finally coming in for work. It felt like it took forever for Monday to get here, but now it was, and she was ready for it! It was a little surreal, sitting behind the desk and thinking that she was actually employed by someone else for a change, but it was exciting, too! She was tempted to work on seeing if files needed organizing, but knew that was just an excuse to snoop a little and revel in all the delicious legal goodness, so she held off on that for right now and just brushed up on law documents available on the Intrawebz.

She's only just sat down for five minutes and already this job rocked.

There was only so much time any man could spend in a house with Arnold Rimmer, and Mitchell had realised that you weren't likely to do a lot of joining humanity when you were skulking around a place at the back of the island all the time.

So in an attempt to acquaint himself with his new neighbours, he got up fresh and early to make a run for the bakery. (Okay, the baked goods themselves might have also had something to do with it) He was in a well enough mood upon arrival, ordering a selection of a few things before taking a seat.

He popped a cookie into his mouth and got to people-watching.

It was a Monday, and with no new data to work with, Ender was dedicating his time to the final finishing touches of that satellite. He wondered vaguely if Stark would get him another project, or whether he'd finally get the time to poke around a few things he found interesting himself.

Yesterday's conversation with Fiona also had him thinking about biochemistry, Wohler, and whether Earth biological principles would apply to extraterrestrial lifeforms. He should compare data...

Daisy transitioned pretty easily from a very good weekend to the start of her work week, thanks to a big cup of really, really awful coffee and the fact that radio auditions gave her a nice change of pace to the broadcasts she usually transcribed for the records. It was particularly nice to have Ben in there.

When Ralph came over an dropped off a stack of papers that Daisy knew had to be completely just for show, she gave him a lecture on what all those donuts would do to his cholesterol, just to get back at him. The next stack of papers came with a detailed note about his metabolism.

Bloody clones and their metabolisms.

Yondaime browsed through the Lexington Park newspaper after cleaning and opening up the bar, going through page by page for something that wasn't soaked in world drama. Granted it was yesterday's newspaper but he knew there was at least one section he could count on!

Sadly, the funnies page was no where to be found, leaving nothing to lift the drama from the room except for the musical stylings of the Zombie Band.

Bender had a beer he wasn't sharing with the horses, and apples that he was. Or rather taunting them with fruit while he tried to get them to jump over obstacles.

He was snickering as he waved it just out of reach before jerking it out of reach. Heh. He, Bender, was so much smarter than these four-legged chumps.

[Open, la!]

After work, Turtle had made sure to go and print of lots of really great posters for the Multicultural Fair, to go around and put them up all over the place for people to see and maybe even get some more entrants.

Cut for Poster! )

[[ Turtle's definitely interruptable/post is open to reactions! You can still sign up for a booth here too! HOOORAAAAY. ]]
