“Okay so every time one of the zombies drops a body part we take a shot, if I’m the last one standing you owe me 100 bucks and if you win I’ll give it do you, deal?” Yondaime said after Tino dared question his ability to hold his liquor.

They shook on it, poured several shots of whiskey, opened the bar and waited for the first limbs to fall.

So the Canadian cream soda (pink!) had arrived yesterday, apparently.

The American cream soda, feeling threatened (this was Lacey's only guess), had promptly exploded all over the storage room.

Naturally, Lacey had gone for a cute outfit today. After going home to change (that wasn't localized wind gusts along the route, just Lacey sighing a lot), she got to work cleaning up the mess. The rest, god help you all, was in the hands of the staff.

[OOC: Ugh. So much catchup today. OCD is hunkering down behind the dumpster until the cream soda works out its differences, and modding your service is your best bet today.]

There was more than a little worry on Sean's face as he opened the store. He knew Johnny had left the night before, which meant that Savannah was not going to be in a good headspace this weeek. He kind of wished classes started this week and not next -- Savannah was going to need something to concentrate on.

Shaking his head, he settled behind a register.

She wasn't sure what she was expecting, but whatever it was, it hadn't happened. No one had shown up to the shop the night before, and when Aphrodite had called Cupid to complain, he'd asked when she'd opened the store. She told him late afternoon, and could hear the slap of his facepalm through the phone.

He said she'd opened too late, which she couldn't understand because she'd opened it when everyone waking up from hangovers should have been out and about. It was, after all, how things had been done in Paris not so long ago, but apparently Fandom wasn't like Paris at all.

Also, Cupid had recommended advertising and having some kind of grand opening party or something. Unfortunately, he'd had to hang up before explaining further, so Aphrodite had considered her options.

Advertising. And a party. Hmm.

Before leaving her suite, she'd zapped up some flyers to hand out in town. They were light pink, with a darker color heart at each corner, and bubbly font that read:

Flyer )
Pleased with how they turned out, Dite headed out the front door of her shop to go advertise.

Yeah, she'd given in and zapped herself to the store today. This laying low stuff was torture.

(OOC: Open! Come get a flyer! And yes, she's still Jackie right now.)
(ETA: Dite is not IN the store. She's on the streets of Fandom, so come up and get a flyer, but remember she's not IN the store! Thanks!)

A little bit of holding off the work week last night had allowed Daisy to at least improve her mood and shake off some of the dread of coming into the station today. It was impossible to send in her report about the squirrels' first warning on a false emergency without knowing it would probably come back around and take a nice spot with horsie thing. And there was the whole thing with having to relive the broadcast in typing it up for the transcripts, making her almost wish she wasn't so bloody dedicated to being true to what was said no matter what. And she had to talk with Coop about needing Monday afternoons off for her workshop coming up here...

Despite all that, her mood was a fairly pleasant one, just occasionally interrupted with the slight little look at the work she was doing on her computer.

After a moderately succesful, if confusing, time at the dance, Ender had retreated back to his room to do some work. That had lasted him his entire Sunday: with Ichigo gone, it was too easy to get sucked into data with the door closed. Maybe he should request another roommate, at some point.

On the other hand, he liked his space uninvasive.

At Stark's, he found himself tinkering on something. The specs for the old satellite might have gone through, but that didn't mean he wasn't trying to brush up on more of the science behind it. At this, he wasn't as gifted with his hands or instincts as some of the Stark Industries employees-- or even Ben.

Turtle was...quiet today. This, of course, had no bearing on the amount of work she was getting done; she was still working incredibly hard and quick and well, but it entirely lacked the buzz of excitement and joy that usually radiated from her when she was working so hard on things like this. Typically, she was engrossed in an approach that made a person look at her and think to themselves, Now there's a girl who knows what she's doing, does a damn good job at it, and loves doing it. Today, however, one was probably more likely to think, Now there's a girl who knows what she's doing, does a damn good job at it, and there's no way in hell I am going to mess with that.

Which seemed to suit her just fine right now.

Alex, upon opening the store and making sure every thing was ready, pulled her wand out and decided to try out some new spells she'd discovered over the weekend.

The World Wide Wiz Web was helpful like that.

Never let it be said that Hannibal didn't take advantage of his vacation days when they were presented to him. Once he'd gotten up, eaten some breakfast and actually woken up, he'd grabbed a towel, swimsuit, sunglasses and something to drink for later and immediately headed down to the beach. He really couldn't pass up a day that was warm but wasn't oppressively hot and wouldn't make him feel like he was sitting with a wet, hot towel smothering him.

He spread the towel on the sand and took a seat, dropping the sunscreen beside him and ignoring it for awhile. Instead, he was just going to lay back on the towel, sunglasses on, and soak up some sun.

Eliza could be found behind the counter, tidy little pen that didn't have to be dipped in an inkwell in hand.

My Dear Mrs. Higgins,

How pleased I was to receive your letter! I am faring very well here, thank you. Though the weather has been beastly hot of late, it stays quite cool here in the shop, and the town is becoming more habitable by the day. There's a proper hat shop now! A new shop has opened across the street from me as well, and though I'm not certain what it is they sell yet, the windows look simply lovely. From the name, I suspect it's yet another sweet shop, which may prove the end of my business and of my figure, but at least it would be an enjoyable way to go bankrupt.

I hope that your health and that of your family continues as you described in your letter...

Asking after family was only polite, after all. It certainly wasn't naming any names.

The sign in the window read, as usual:

Covent Garden Flowers

Eliza Doolittle, prop.
Fresh flowers from nosegays to bouquets!
Delivery available upon request.

Irulan opened the shop early bringing the new laptop she purchased from Turtle. The weekend had been an interesting experience. She thought about all the people she knew from when she was younger and smiled.

Irulan flipped the sign and settled behind the counter.

After their practice in the range, Karla and Triela headed up to the Lobster Hut for lunch. Karla'd chosen it because she at least recognized seafood. And there generally weren't little tiny peppers OF PAINFUL SPICY DEATH to deal with.

They were shown to a booth immediately, with a waiter coming by to drop off their menus. And some bread rolls, which Karla appreciated. She hadn't exhausted herself like she had the last time they'd practiced in the range, but she was almost always hungry anyway.

"Want one?" Karla offered the basket to Triela.

[Thread locked for Triela, but restaurant is open to anyone. Except people who believe that Manhattan-style clam chowder is really clam chowder. NO SEA FOOD FOR YOU.]
