The remnants of the
strange feeling she'd had last night still lingered in Raven's thoughts. Perhaps she would discuss it with Professor Anakin come Thursday.
Today, however, she worked, arriving exactly on time to open up Decadent Delights. She had only been sitting behind the counter for an hour or so, reading a book (not one found in the store, thank you very much), when she suddenly felt incredibly tired and dropped her head on her arms on the counter next to Strife.
Someone was terribly hurt. She could feel the pain even before the body was carried into the lobby. She did not recognize who it was, but she flew to the couch they were gently laid upon, pushing aside people in her way so that she could lay her hands upon the wounds. So much blood, so much pain. She embraced it, pulling it all into herself. A bone in her leg snapped as the injury became hers; she was dimly aware of someone else holding her up so she did not fall. Her leg mended, as did the scrapes and bruises that colored her face and arms, but she could not suppress a scream as she felt two sharp stabbing pains in her throat and her own blood began to trickle down her neck.
The healing was completed; her gifts insured the person would live, restored to almost perfect health. She twitched and moaned in the grasp of the person still holding her as the last of the injuries worked their way through her own body and disappeared. The injured person had been very near death, and the healing exhausted her. Overcome with weariness, she swooned.Raven jerked her head up with a gasp. A dream, but it had felt so very real, like the dreams she'd had recently about her father. Coupled with the strange feeling from yesterday, the feeling that something unpleasant awaited her grew. She tried to shake it off by focusing on work and began to unpack a box of

They were certainly not like
any flashlight she had
ever seen.
