Thursday's were Gig days, so Helen was happy and the horses seemed pretty pleased too.

She had to run off for an hour to her one class, but other than that, she and the horses could be found here.

Millie had the Help Wanted sign up in the window again. She still had openings on Wednesday, Thursday, and the weekend if anyone still needed a job.

Today, Jennifer was working hard on keeping the office neat and tidy, both physically and electronically. Sorting computer files was oddly time consuming.

She was even learning not to lean so hard on the chair as to break it, too. Being the She-Hulk did bring some interesting limitations, as well as benefits. She was starting to adjust, though.

The first thing Tara did when she got to work was set up a little enclosure for Kennedy to run around in, including food, water, a washcloth for a nest, and little balls of foil for her to play with. She watched the hedgehog for a moment, then disappeared into the bookshelves at the shop. She planned to pull all animal transformation spells she could find and see if she saw a common thread in how to undo them.

Once she'd found all of the books, she plopped down on the floor -- it was clean (she should know, she swept it), and there was more room to spread out there anyhow -- with the books open in front of her and a notebook to the side. She wondered how long it would take to special order some of the more exotic ingredients.

The Magic Box was open. Mind the attack hedgehog.

[OOC: The OCD is afraid of hedgehogs and stayed home.]

Hoshi left the cooking to Gunther as she tackled something that she'd been avoiding: college applications. She'd gathered up way too many options, from Berkeley to Oxford to the University of the Amazons (an option in her century, if not in this one). She still had no idea where she wanted to go, so she was hoping to narrow down her choices depending on where she got in. Even the specials board seemed just as confused as she was.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!
Today's Specials
Egg Drop Soup
Bangers and Mash
Brazilian Fish Stew

True to his word on the radio on Monday, Castiel had chosen monsters and demons as the topic of his sermon, today.

"The word 'monster'," he began, "has a number of different meanings."

Oh dear. The angel actually used a dictionary.

Someone should take that away from him. He'll only end up confused. )

[ooc: OCD coming up is here!]

The last day of casting.

Geoffrey was looking at his list of possible actors and the list of roles and wondering if he really was insane, even for the theatre. Richard III. The idea of doing it with any other group of teenagers was laughable.

But he was pretty certain he could do this, here, and make it work.

That was why he opened the door again and got settled in for the day.

[ocd up!]

The diner staff didn't take Priestly's declaration that he claimed this diner in the name of Santa Cruz very well.

That would be why he's trying to clean noodles off the far wall.

Today's specials
Spaghetti with meatballs
House salad
Pineapple Fanta

Luke's was open.

Reese entered the station with a cup of coffee and frowned at the police scanner on her desk. "What the hell is this doing here?"

Ralph gestured to the note beside the scanner.

"I didn't order a police scanner."

Ralph shrugged.

Some help. Reese sighed, "Whatever. Pass me the donuts, will ya?"

(Trooper Station is open!)

Kyle was up to two weekly jobs in Fandom now. Not only did he have the always exciting life of a mercenary policeman in a town with no need for either mercenaries or policemen to look forward to, but he also had the slightly less exciting life of a teacher who wasn't scheduled to do any teaching for weeks but who did get to sit on a panel.

And that's why tonight, on his first night working at Caritas, Kyle was determined to do some actual work. "You're going to drink this," he told Tino as he put a bottle of beer on the bar.

Tino saw the lightsaber. He knew what that meant for him if he didn't make a good impression now. He'd spent over a year with Jolee, after all.

[OOC: Hey, lookit this. I have a shift at Caritas again.]

Max left a note on his office door indicating where he planned to spend his day, and headed out to the beach.

His usually calm demeanor had been, well, not for the past couple of days, and he really needed to do something to... get control back. So he was standing at the edge of the water, feet just barely submerged, drawing on his metalcraft to ignore the cold. And he was exerting as much watercrafting force as possible.

Which turned out to be substantial even if he was out of practice. From where his feet touched the water out a hundred or so yards, the water was unnaturally still. The waves continued rolling in outside of that half circle, but for that little area he was able to completely still the water.

Sweat beaded slightly on his brow as he concentrated. It wasn't like he usually did this kind of thing. It felt too much like showing off. But he needed to do something. Especially with the meeting he had scheduled.

[Expecting one, but it's open!]

Okay, so she was running late. It happened. But the store was open, and there was booze behind the counter, and so Elena was going to count that as an accomplishment, today.

She was going to be in the back, setting ugly dresses on fire. That was her favorite perk of this job. Even more so than the booze.
