There wasn't a lot to straighten up in the store today when Chloe got there. So she did what needed to be done and then settled on a stool behind the counter. Simon had sent her a couple of new pages of drawings and she needed to fill in the script for their comic.

He was working on the images for the great escape and so she was trying to come up with text that didn't seem overly dramatic -- even if it was a comic. She didn't want it to be too over the top, after all. They did want people to read this some day.

Android's Dungeon was open.

Atlas Gym | Friday

Sure the temperature outside was finally dropping below eighty, but within Atlas Gym, the heat was building.

There was no music.

There was no air conditioning.

There was only a hot and sweaty Russian who had spent the morning dragging old, dust-covered fans out of storage and setting them up to provide some relief to the Jazzercise participants who were literally going to be sweating to whatever oldies they could sing today.

Dimitri propped the doors to the gym open, hoping for a little natural air circulation while he went through his own workout, shirt getting heavy with perspiration. What? Like he was going to just hang out because of a little heat.

Atlas Gym was open for business!

Harper figured that today was a good day scrub the store from top to bottom. And she didn't want to get her good (*cough*) clothes dirty, so she was dressed in a plain t-shirt and old jeans that she'd found on one of the sale racks in the store.

The display window was empty, but today might be a good time to get great deals on stuff she wanted to clear out of inventory.

Things Reborn was open!

[The OCD has been put to work scrubbing floors.]

Mary was trying to get through some paperwork at the front desk. Instead, she kept looking at the kitchen door and worrying about what was going on with Gunther. There were loud banging noises and loud shouts in German, but the door stayed closed and Mary stayed at the front desk. As long as Gunther's mess did not spill out of the kitchen, it was not her problem.

It was almost one week before Chuck got his inheritance and, while Lily assured him it was perfectly fine for him to stay in Fandom for the summer, he was still having his doubts about the whole thing. He decided to work some overtime, not wanting to give anyone the idea that he was going to slack just because he was away from New York. A voice in the back of his head kept telling him that it wasn't going to be enough, but he was doing his best to ignore it.

Why he brought his laptop to the Perk rather than the bar or his room was pretty obvious if you thought about it. There wasn't any alcohol here to distract him.

[Oooooooopen]

Arya saw that Annja had placed orders the other day and decided to check the tracking numbers, just for the heck of it.

She followed that by re-arranging a display of dream catchers. She considered bringing some back wit her, on her next trip home.

Price was rather glad to be settled into work today. He was lamenting the fact he had trouble coming up with ideas for the bloody FIRE group. Five years in the Gulag (have we mentioned the five years in the Gulag?) did take their toll on his ideas about social outings.

If he could, he'd just organize a town-wide paintball game but that would get very messy.

The kind of mess he liked, admittedly. But it wasn't quite feasible.

It'd have to remain a pipe dream.

Anyone needing the good captain could stop by the store.

Absolutely nothing strange was happening today. This made Marcus suspicious.

He was down the back of the junkyard, repairing a hole in the chainlink fence. It was a big enough hole that he knew it hadn't been made by the rats, big enough to make him want to keep whatever it was out.

He threaded rope through the edges to pull it taut, tied it off, and began methodically untwisting the wire. A roll of chainlink fence was leaning nearby.

Damon had dug out a really good bottle of Scotch out of storage. He wondered if it was for a special occasion. Oh well, he was drinking it now. Like anybody was going to get pissed enough to mess with him.

Hope was torn between being happy about the incoming newbies and sad that one of her few friends on the island had left. As such, she was busying herself with a time-honored tradition.

No, not insulting Apu. The other time-honored tradition.

Cleaning like her life depended on it.

Which would probably be why Apu was attempting to hide on top of the squishy machine.

Today's Squishy flavors: Grape Judas, Sorrow, Blue.

[Flying OCD free and up late due to extreme acts of napping.]
