Irulan took a hat off a shelf then moved it to another shelf but after a second took it off again. The hat wouldn't fit.

No, be honest. It was not the hat that wouldn't fit. It was her. She felt discomfited and knew the root of it.

She vanished into nothing in this shop and this fact left her unbalanced. Perhaps it was not a good idea to return here today. She would not be good company unless her equilibrium returned.

Irulan walked to the door and flipped the sign.

The Imperial Brim was close for the day.

(The shop is closed but the post is open!)

Spock seemed to be missing a few days from the week previous, which was most disconcerting, but he had been able to discern that he was not the only individual so affected--and, indeed, that others had had it worse than he. While the whole occurrence was fascinating, he had work to attend to, and saw no need to delay it. So he was at Stark Industries promptly on Tuesday, applying himself to his work in his usual industrious fashion.

Stark Industries? Open.

Everything was back and back to normal and Ariel didn't have to carry around a chair leg to defend herself to get to work today (although she did think she should probably replace that chair sometime soon), but she still found herself in a terribly dismayed mood. The weekend had easily shoved her personal issues aside, but now, especially in the light of everything disappearing, they were hitting her full force. Everything was back, but, unless something changed very dramatically in the next few weeks, she was going to disappear and she wouldn't be coming back, ever...

It left her in quite a bit of a funk, stuck in a defeatist attitude that not even all the pretty clothes in the world could solve. She didn't even put out her glittery kissing sign, because she knew just how well that had been working out for her. Maybe it was just her fate that she would lose her deal with the sea witch, and she would deserve what she got as punishment for making such decisions and dealings with nefarious characters...

But, she thought as she leaned on the counter, slightly slumped with her chin cradled in her palms, at least she did it. At least she'd been able to be human for at least a little bit, and she knew what it was like to live on land, and have legs, and human friends and clothes and fascinating human treasures...

She sighed, one of many more to come, and tried to repeat that mantra in her head until she started to feel better and could convince herself that, hey, if she only had a few weeks to go, she'd better make the most out of them.

Pixie Dust is open!

Book Haven, Tuesday

The Fish still had not been given a name. Hinata had left it, and was glad to, in her room where it could swim freely in the little tank she’d gotten for it while carting Yei off to work.

Yei was far too interested in The Fish.

Hinata was not particularly surprised by that. She was simply grateful that while they were at work, she did not have to worry about The Fish being eaten. Hinata had no wish to explain to Professor Aquaman that her school assignment had been eaten by a cat.

After all, what kind of parent would that make her?

Probably, Hinata thought ruefully, not a very good one.

Book Haven is Open.

The e-mail she’d spent a great deal of yesterday on still wasn’t done.

At this point Ino wasn’t even sure if she could send it—it rambled unforgivably, it bounced from topic to topic like a sugar-high five-year-old (though the topics it bounded from and to were not the ones a five-year-old might discuss), and it made very little sense even to her when she reread what she had in draft.

But that was what drafts were for, wasn’t it? And it was something to work on while she was at work.

Good enough. Maybe she would send it. At the very least, it was honest.

The problem with trying to ride in on a white horse was that you had to get back to the stable even if the damsel didn't turn out to be in much distress, Jack thought wryly as he settled down at one of the Perk's outside tables with a mug of black coffee and a cinnamon muffin.

All he wanted was to get home after his odd conversation with Emma the night before, but he was stuck in Fandom waiting for a portal until midmorning. Bloody Portalocity.

Well. Fandom wasn't so bad. He sipped at his coffee and watched the morning rush around him, pausing to send a few texts. He might as well at least let people know he was on the island.

[OOC: Open, yep! If you want him to have called you, he did.]

Raven didn't have any classes on Tuesday, so she'd spent the morning sending her Soul-Self flying over the island, just to reassure herself everything was truly back to normal (especially herself). Then she opened up the store for the day, pleased to find poor Hercules safe and none-the-worse for his experience in the void.

She spent a few minutes tidying up and disposing of things that didn't belong in the store, then settled behind the counter with a book, which was most assuredly not a romance novel, and definitely didn't have vampires in it.

[ooc: 'Dite's is open in the early afternoon, but plottiness will call Raven away later.]

Jono had new clothing, Jono had a guitar, and Jono had brought little Hendrix-the-fish to work with him today. Partly for company, partly because he didn't want Hendrix to make a graceful leap out of his little fish bowl during the course of his shift without any possibility of rescue. He wouldn't have been terribly pleased to come back to his room to find a petrified goldfish on the floor, after all.

He strongly suspected that Aquaman wouldn't have been terribly thrilled, either.

At least, he supposed, he could spend the day playing music as he always did, and he could pass that off as... bonding. Music lessons or some such rot.

Groovy Tunes is open. And maybe a little fishy.

[And OCD-free, and I'm heading out for... quite possibly the entire day, so mod your Groovy Tunes as you see fit, or expect great SP justice if you want a Jono.]

So, Loki had disappeared for nearly four days. When he'd reappeared a few days ago, he'd been wearing the same clothes and hadn't felt that much different. All in all, it was an annoying but painless experience. He'd have to send a message to Metatron, tell him that he was fine. He was sure Metatron would be so fucking grateful for that.

For now, Loki was sitting in the lobby, feet up and sunglasses on, giving the impression of sleeping. He wasn't but maybe no one would annoy him if he looked the part.

"I'm sorry for having left you two by your lonesome this weekend ♥," Shunsui, after he'd come in to open the shop and had a few drinks, was doting heavily on the store's mascots. Lucky Jane had her cage to keep her from too much of Shunsui's affections, but Turtle was subject to his cuddlings no matter how much he hid in his shell. "Such brave sentinals of the store ♥! Bold bastions of...something that starts with a B ♥! You're so strong to have surived ♥!"

Of course, Apu-san had tried to explain that, really, the store had remained relatively untouched with the occasional hellish beast, but Shunsui had mostly stopped listening to Apu-san until what came out of his mouth was, "Why, yes, Shunsui-san, I would love to have that drink with you ♥."

So he was basically planning on ignoring Apu-san a lot.

Cally was not leaving Nicky with daycare this week. Possibly not for a month. Today the little tyke was getting read to as Cally held him in her lap.

Nicholas Tyrol, being a total attention hound, actually kind of loved how much his mother was doting on him this week.

So, if anyone passed by the desk/counter in the MCA lobby today, there was a mother and child behind said desk/counter. And they were being adorable.

[ooc: Open, the OCD got shot out an airlock.]

Mary was using today to catch up with her paperwork. There were canceled reservations from the weekend that needed to be refunded, rooms that needed repair work before they could be occupied, and Gunther was freaking out because he was out of cabbage.

Somehow, the screaming from the kitchen made that last one the most important thing Mary needed to deal with today.

It was only Tuesday and Ben was already having a very rough week. Staring into his enormous mug of black coffee as he waited for Jaina to arrive, he decided that a silver lining to Ender being gone was that he wouldn't wake anyone up with the nightmares that were waiting for him when he let his eyes drift close.

But for now, he thought, coffee was just the same thing as sleep. Ben's logic was special.

[OOC: He's waiting for his very very old cousin, but the Perk is here for your caffeine or Ben needs.]

To some the worst way to change back into a person after Fandom-induced stint as an animal was for it to happen in front of a bunch of people - or one particular one. For Rose, that would have been a cakewalk.

Instead, she turned human again as she lay on the mats at the gym, contentedly chewing on the remnants of the mouse that had just made up her breakfast. Torn between trying not to gag and really, really wanting to barf that up, Rose jumped up, paying no attention to her lack of clothing as she spit out the whisker that stuck to her lip and ran to try to wash the mouse taste out of her mouth.

She was going to be there at the drinking fountain for a while as she tried to forget that any of this ever happened.

[OOC: I am so, so sorry]

It was Robin's last week as a single lady. It was also the week after a horrible, horrible event -- thanks to this stupid island, those two things just had to coincide.

As such, Robin had some specials going tonight.

Your first drink free if you went through a void this weekend

It only seemed fair.
