Another day, another e-mail.

Ino was curled up in the chair—that was still way too huge for her—with a blanket over her lap and was still working on e-mails. She hadn’t actually sent any yet, which was slightly frightening, but Ino had finished the one and then realized that if she didn’t write another that it would be weird and kinda uncomfortable.

And then she had another one to do after that.

If nothing else, at least it kept her occupied?

Lion-o was prepared for the worst when he walked into the diner, but he was pleasantly surprised to see how clean it was despite everything that happened over the weekend.

He still spent the day polishing the countertops, because there were only so many times he could listen to the bus boy describe how kept busy while hiding in the walk-in cooler.

Dru was in the back room straightening up the mess left by fighting the scorpion.

There was a sign on the counter, next to a little bell that said Ring for Service.

If Shelley realized exactly how late she was opening the store today, she didn't show it. She wasn't really paying attention to much anything other than her nails at the moment, buffing away for all she was worth. She had read an article on how buffing nails till they looked like they had a clear layer of polish on them was becoming trendy; something about going green and using less chemicals on your body.

"I am not, however, going to give up my deodorant for a block of salt," she declared, responding to some voice in her head.

Pixie Dust was open for business!

Alexander, who had yet to see the notice about the cancellation of the magic reserves this week, spent the majority of his shift feeling nervous and fretting about the whole thing. Completely unaware of the relief he might feel later upon returning, he fiddled around with a tinder box he had found among some of the stuff, striking the occasional flame and then putting it out.

He tried to convince himself that no one cared. There was so many tragic things going on that no one probably even noticed. But, when you were sixteen, it was hard to think on a scale outside of yourself, with a scope that seemed to be focused on only your own personal drama and insecurities.

Either way, Things Reborn is open!

Nothing helped Jane to deal with Fandom craziness better than making an elaborate blueprint of the Mansion -which she wasn't quite capable of occupying at the moment-, with all the possible ideas for new secret passages and what not.

Killing things also help. It had helped.

Denial, too.

She was trying not to think just where she would end up sleeping. In the store itself, maybe?

After disappearing for four days, Hannibal was still feeling a little out of sorts. Physically, he was fine but missing four days because some black void had eaten him was a little much to deal with.

He'd told Tino his harrowing story of bravery and, in return, gotten bitched at about bugs that had been invading his home. Honestly, Hannibal thought he lived in the bar. He'd never thought Tino had a home. Unfortunately for Tino, Hannibal didn't wanna hear anymore about bugs.

He shoved from liquor in front of his fellow bartender and decided they'd drink away their respective woes. Tino, amazingly, agreed.

Dinah had spent most of the morning training, and was treating herself to a frappachino now, leaning back in one of the booths and sipping as she watched Fandom go by outside the window. All of it. No parts missing.

A lazy summer day, and caffeine. Two and a half weeks to go.

While the past couple days had been easier than Jaina had thought they would be, she'd come to a disturbing little realization: she hadn't actually been alone for over a year. Even when she'd been the only one in the room, Zekk had always been close enough to share thoughts. Or when he was too far to share direct thoughts, she'd still had the Colony. And while said realization sort of bothered her, it also meant that her quiet little apartment bothered her more.

At least until the new bugs moved in, and hadn't stopped with the damn music. They had no idea what she meant when she kept throat clicking at them to stop, either, or else they didn't care. There was still no temptation to squish, but there was a desperate need to get out of that apartment and get somewhere sane. So she'd headed to JGOB with her datapad, got herself a pastry and something to drink, and parked herself in a window seat for ease of escape in case she heard anything even slightly French Canadian.

Anyone who accused her of humming was getting hit.

[Open, and she could totes use distractions.]

Well, Angua certainly hoped someone out there was proud of her, as she was not going to the bar today. The temptation was certainly great; she might have to talk to Cally about a little bug problem she'd just noticed. Bugs themselves weren't that big of a deal for her; so long as they didn't carry fleas with them, she could handle them as long as she could suppress an urge to munch on them, but these bugs were...special. She didn't even know what to call that noise they were making and they even smelled of cheesy ballads.

So she did know she needed to get out of her apartment for a little bit. But the decision to go for a little stroll in the park, she figured, was probably much more positive than the bar again. It was starting to become a habit she really had no interest in really keeping.

But it didn't take her long before she was regretting the walk, too, and thinking that what she really needed to cool down in this weather was a nice, cold Anything-But-Coors-Lite.

[[ open park is open, naturally! ]]

Beka'd promised Jonas she'd take things slow, but two days without training had her feeling restless. The equipment looked tempting and she did step on the treadmill once she'd a moment free. It didn't last long as her shoulder reminded her why Jonas had been right and she retreated behind the desk to help anyone who came in.

She really did miss the magical healers at Jane Street Kennel now.

K-Mart wasn't productive this week. No, this week she was behind a counter, contemplating a visit home. It was true what she'd said to Quinn, that she was from a post-apocalyptic wasteland, but it was still home and she hadn't been there since coming to Fandom.

But that had kind of been the whole idea of it.

Didn't mean she wasn't contemplating a trip anyway, though.

Well, contemplating in between the occasional getting up to help a customer.
