When Jaina came in to work today, she discovered something she never thought she'd see: a disembodied hand... standing? atop the bar holding out a Post-It for her. Warily she walked over and took the proffered note, frowning when she read it. "What do you mean Tino called out? I've never seen him call out," she complained. It wasn't that she couldn't handle the bar on her own, but she liked having someone else there in case it got busy or she needed to check something in the back or whatever.

When she looked up from frowning at the Post-It, she found that there was now a glass on the table, with the hand ready to pour something from a bottle into it for her. "No, thanks," she said, frowning even more because wow it was going to be one of those nights. "But I think this means I'm putting you to work."

Let's see if Jaina could ever look at a severed hand the same way after today.

Arms Hotel Lobby, Saturday [9/4]

Ellie sat behind the front desk keeping a close eye on her bag containing her cellphone. After what happened in class yesterday she was paranoid about the phone getting into the wrong hands. She did not expect an actual disembodied hand to snag it, though. When it seemed to be typing a text message, that's when she became concerned.

"Hey, give that back!" Now she was yelling at it in the hotel lobby. This was just so surreal.

It was Saturday, and so of course, Farnsworth was getting his shopping done for his weekly groceries. Let's see. Prunes. Oatmeal. Buttermilk. Chee--

He almost reached for one brand and then, in the last second, changed his mind and went with a different one.

It was only then that he realized there was a panda standing in the cheese aisle with him. He frowned, and started forward.

But the panda wasn't moving; in fact, he came right up and stopped the cart, staring at Farnsworth. Farnsworth stared back and, just when he was about to tell the panda to move it, the panda did the unexpected. It took a hold of Farnsworth's cart and knocked it over.

Oh. And then gave the spilled contents of the old man's cart a kick, just for good measure.

Farnsworth very slowly reached for the first brand of cheese, before the panda got too crazy, and slowly, slowly backed away.

That's right, Farnsworth. Obey the panda.

Shunsui had figured that the vision of Jane-chan when he stopped by her place to pick her up for dinner would be the most beautiful thing of the evening, but in that he was wrong. It was true, of course, that she was easily an epitome of beauty, but Shunsui had seen many beauties in his long life- (and afterlife-)time.

He had yet to see a Sushi Station. And was wondering why it took him so long to discover such a gem of novelty, the little plates of food going about the conveyor belt like dancing delicacies.

"This," he declared, pulling out a chair with a little bow for Jane-chan, "is fabulous &hearts! What a marvelous idea ♥!"

After his morning run and finding out about the hands in the common room, Roy changed into something a little more respectable and went in to work at the legal office, where he spent much of the day wondering if he could convince the hands to help him file.

It would be great if they could do data entry.
