Just for funsies, and because he really didn't have anything better to do, Shunsui was in one of the aisles, trying on the wide selection of fashionable and affordable hats that Turtle & Canary had to offer.

Naturally, none of them would ever be able to replace his beloved hat, but it was interesting to try something new on for a change. And he knew she wouldn't at all mind because she knew where his heart truly belonged.

...unless maybe the other hats turned into beautiful women some day, too. And that would possibly be one of the best days ever.

The sign, of course, was still in the window:

TURTLE & CANARY

The air smelled like rain, but it was also warm enough that Firekeeper and Blind Seer insisted the horses come outside.

The weather would turn soon enough, she pointed out, and they'd be stuck inside for most of the winter, so why not make the best of the summer weather while they could?

The Gig was open!

There was a NPC cleaning crew working on clearing away the mess of a few months inside. Nothing particularly dreadful but months of dust and general grim were not something he was going to permit to simply stay put.

Not when he planned to put the building to use. What point was there in an empty theatre? None.

As for himself, Genesis leaned against the outside of the building, reading the paperwork he'd found lying about the place, mostly in the apartment above the theatre itself. As he read, he absently answered the questions of the cleaning crew as they came up about where to put things.

And what to put on? Well, there was time to decide that yet. This Geoffrey had seemed to have a certain taste in plays which meant either it would be best for him to conform and pick something similar…

Or pick something utterly different. Hm.

He smiled faintly. It wasn't really much of a choice, no.

[Open, of course, for anyone who might want to know what's going on at The Boards.]

Biff's player had forgotten to hit post on this for five hours day was made brighter by opening Wellspring Arms and getting ready to serve the trigger-happy denizens of this fair town.

...or by surfing the web and placing bets on just how weird Lady Gaga's outfit would be at the VMAs tonight.

Details.

[OOC: The OCD hides in shame at my lack of attention span today.]

John had decimated the population of the world five times before he headed to the bar, phone to his ear as he explained how effective the Rodney pandemic virus had been. "No, it's not multiplayer." He waved at Tino for a beer as he sat down, making faces at no one present.

"No, it's not better than our game." He rolled his eyes. As if disease was as cool as running dueling civilizations. "Yes, I'm sure they're doing fine without us."

He paused, eyebrow lifting. "No."

"No."

"Did you hear me say no twice?" John snorted, somehow smiling despite the exchange. "I'm hanging up now." At least Tino was quick with that beer.
