Given the... diversity... of the auditions he had received on Wednesday, Genesis was in a fine mood as he picked idly through his scripts today. He smirked a bit, wondering at what reactions they would get upon seeing his chosen script for the play. Everything, of course, was already set up.

The people of Fandom were certainly enthusiastic, even if the majority of them had little skill to speak of. But some of them, some of them had potential.

And some of them just greatly amused him.

Which was its own value, push come to shove.

There were no onions at the Gig today, talking or otherwise.

Actually... that wasn't entirely accurate. There was a bowl of French Onion soup (not that she was aware of that being its name, of course) sitting on a haybale, spoon resting beside it as if it was waiting for her.

After a curious sniff at the contents of the bowl, Firekeeper dug in. She didn't know if the provider of the soup was Dani or Fandom, but it was free food, so she was hardly going to argue.

Blind Seer just grumbled about how come he didn't get any food? Firekeeper offered to share her soup, but he didn't seem interested.

For no reason at all, really, Biff had chopped up an absolute fuckton (a totally legitimate measurement unit, just ask him) of onions yesterday.

Being a middling chef--man can live on take-out alone, assuming the pizza place doesn't run out of bacon--Biff had no idea what to do with them all. So there he was, Googling "what do do with chopped onions" on his laptop.

Save him from himself. Please.

John didn't know when Tino and Jessi had gotten to be friends, but let's be honest, John didn't exactly care about Tino's relationships. He did, however, care that Tino claimed Jessi had left town for good, texting something about running away to foreign lands with her one true love.

"Great!" John complained with a sigh. "Now who's gonna open the gym at the buttcrack of dawn on weekends and run the Tae Bo classes? Like hell is that task falling on my ass!" His life was so hard and required a drink to improve things. "It's bad enough there's never a bartender here when you need one." His grumbled sentiment also explained why John was again on the employee side fixing himself a scotch, neat as he considered how he was supposed to find a new aerobics instructor who was willing to fulfill the 'looks good in and out of spandex' line of Jessi's old job description.

Okay, maybe the description could use some rewriting so it didn't sound like Barney had composed the want ad.

Oh, this was a very excited ball of badly-dressed Al Bhed blonde girl who was opening up Stark Industries. Except it wasn't Stark Industries any more! And the new seriously ugly sign outside would let everyone know that!!!

There was also a banner which read "GRAND RE-OPENING" (although the store wasn't exactly closed) as well as one that noted, "WEEKEND SHIFTS AVAILABLE."

(OCD-free! Info post for the store here! I warned you that the sign would be ugly! And "vegan ibbanc" is Al Bhed for "fixer uppers," natch, and that font at the bottom is actually the Al Bhed alphabet, if you are wondering how to get "vegan ibbanc" out of that clump otherwise.)
