Hinata was well aware that the holidays for this world were approaching--the largest, most consuming holidays, though the one they'd just had came close in her opinion--and that meant she was idly beginning her search for gifts but was in no rush.

It was something to do while Yei darted around the store like a Fierce Adventurer and her attention kept straying to a letter she'd written but not sent. More thought, for that, was required, because once she'd taken the first step…

Well, the game would have to be played.

There was almost always something soothing about being surrounded by flowers and Ino had already been in a good mood before showing up to work anyway--that had absolutely everything to do with her boyfriend, her weekend, and having gotten enough sleep that she actually felt chipper today--but the flowers just made her mood even better.

Which would, of course, be why she was singing about sunflowers today as she worked.

For that song, she didn't need a radio. Also, it hadn't ever been recorded, so using a radio would be kind of silly anyway.

Ino might have been eyeing the clock and counting down the time until she could reasonably take her lunch. She wanted to see what else she'd have to sing.

It was the last day of the month so Loki, in a rare fit of productivity, was getting shit done before the start of the month. It was always the busiest time for him but it meant rents, money and paydays. That, of course, meant he could buy shit he didn't need to keep him occupied. That was always a good thing.

Of course, the cursing and huffing and puffing he was doing while trying to be a responsible member of society meant that whatever he bought better be damn fucking good for all this shit.

Raven was in an absolutely delightful mood today when she opened up the store, which had everything to do with the long weekend in London with Jono. No, she wasn't eyeing anything in the shop with new-found curiosity (okay, maybe one or two things), but she was playing some seasonal music she'd found as she moved about the store, dusting and straightening the shelves.

And if that kept her from dwelling on other things, so much the better.

Another shift, another loud-music day at the Groovy Tunes.

What did that mean? That meant that Jonothon was writing, once again, stupidhappy chipper flowery nonsense as requested by Ino, the content of which had at least been inspired in no small part by a trip to London with Raven over the weekend that hadn't gone completely to hell.

... And then he was interspersing those writing periods with Pearl Jam, turned up very, very loudly. Sort of like chipper-drivel-detox, really.

The kitten was starting to learn that no matter where she hid in the store, there was no escaping "Do The Evolution" at 120 decibels.

Ariel? Shopping around the store while she was working? Never!

Okay, maybe she was, a little, like she did nearly every week, but at least she knew the product really, really well, right? Plus, she wanted to find something pretty and fun for her and Ellie's duet on Tuesday. She was just having a terrible time choosing just one set of costumes.

Silly clothes. Being so much fun!

Mary was grateful to have a very awkward Thanksgiving behind her. While it was always good to see her friends, it felt like they were keeping something from her. Plus Sam and Delinda had some sort of fight and weren't speaking to each other, and Mary knew Danny well enough to realize he was telling some very bad lies.

But Mary was putting it behind her for now as she went through paperwork from the weekend. If the gang from Las Vegas thought that she couldn't handle their secrets, she wasn't going to worry about them.

"Apu-san ♥!" Shunsui, with fluttering haori as he came into the shop today, announced with enthusiasm. "It's Tuesday ♥!"

Apu-san, however, did not seem to get what the big deal was.

Shunsui didn't bother explaining. "Let's celebrate with some sake ♥!"

So it looked like Tuesday was just like every other day of the week.

It had been a slow day up until the moment Jane had decided to actually use the computer for something else than checking the stock.

Bad move, that one.

Who would have known Counter Strike could be that addictive? Before she realized it she was already yelling to some guy in Korea about putting a frag right in front of her. Surely he had never heard the word 'teamwork' before. The rest of her team? Hopeless, too. She would decided to call John and tell him to join...although maybe he didn't have the time.

"...I need to find a way to use my time. Proactively."

Anyway, there were hostages to rescue now.

Sookie was finally feeling up to actually cooking at work, which she bounded in to do, knotting her hair back in a high ponytail. Sure, she still nursed a coffee while she worked, but that was more from staying up late than from anemia or anything.

Shrimp with Garlic and Toasted Breadcrumbs
Hungarian Chocolate Walnut Torte

Tonight, Robin brought in leftover pie. Now, sure, the Fraser-Scherbatsky household didn't really celebrate American Thanksgiving, but Robin celebrated day-after sales.

But you know what she didn't celebrate? Tino. Ever. So she was decidedly not sharing her pie with him, and instead patently ignoring him.

[I have an obligatory work stripper-angel thing tonight to attend, so I'll be back around 11:15 ESTish. Mod our boy until then.]
