If Ender was really honest with himself, he didn't really want to go to work today. Which is exactly why he went-- it was his routine, and right now he didn't want to drop that, at least.

In the end, he went for a compromise, and rather than manning the desk, he slipped back into the workshop to poke at his plans for improving his laptop, among other things. It was a somewhat effective way of keeping his thoughts at least a little his own.

Selfish as it could be, Zatanna was in a relatively good mood due to her magic not being all screwed up anymore. The fact it happened at the same time she no longer needed it to protect herself didn't make take the edge of it. She wasn't going to use it intensively on the store though; the magic brooms sweeping all over the place had been enough of a test drive to make sure she was back. Apu didn't approve, but at least he didn't have to clean himself. That had to count for something, right?

"Hey, should we get the Christmas decorations? Or Fandom doesn't roll that way?" Unfortunately, Apu was making his best effort to act as if Zatanna was in a parallel universe where any kind of communication was impossible, and so her question remained unanswered. She'll have to take it to Shunsui, then.

Quinn couldn't really believe things were back to normal as she went to the hotel today, but there it was: The lobby was decorated, guests were checking in and out, and she could hear Gunther in the kitchen yelling at some poor serf about how he didn't care if walls were eating people, employees still had to call out if they were missing work.

She settled in behind the desk and started reviewing her Spanish notes for her online final.

Jane was glad things were back to normal. Jane was, also, extremely tired and sleep-deprived, but her sense of duty was enough to make her open the store and conduct business as usual. There was always coffee to drink in unhealthy proportions anyway, so she could probably make it through the day without collapsing until she returned home.

Until she discovered a rather interesting game. Even if it was just a demo, she would have her fun making perfect scores every time for a while.

Angua was busy; Angua had a lot of coffee and a lot of paperwork.

But Angua was not complaining. She didn't even feel like complaining. In fact, she couldn't complain.

There had actually been things to do last week, which reminded her how much she actually enjoyed doing things, especially Watch things. Watch things rarely produced as much paperwork, of course, but she would gladly do it for having a week like last week where things were actually occurring.

It was… relatively well known, at least by his actors and actresses, that Genesis was not the soul of kindness.

Which meant that they'd likely view the sign he stuck up outside of The Boards with the thought that he was simply being an ass. Genesis did not much care what they thought of him, luckily, and so if that was their reaction, they were welcome to it.

Rehearsal will be taking place tomorrow, December 14.

And

Performances will be on

Thursday, December 16 & Saturday, December 18

But, truly, it was his way of helping to give them all something else to focus on rather than what would surely have been a most… unfortunate… week for a number of them.

(He'd quite enjoyed it. Odd duck, that Genesis.)

He was busy with paperwork and making phone calls, should anyone dare to bother him.

Karla hadn't want to come to work today--she had finals, she was pretty sure that this week was dress rehearsal, she just kind of wanted to hunker down in her room where it was safe--but she told herself sternly that such behavior was silly. The Labyrinth was gone, her Craft was working, and she really had no good reason not to come in. Staying in her dorm just smacked of cowardice.

So instead, she was going to busy herself by throwing out anything peach-flavored she came across, which unfortunately led to this discovery in the back. After a few minutes of looking at them in confusion, Karla decided to bring them up front and highlight them in a floor display.

Because she thought she was funny.

Nothing could wipe the smile off Dani's face today, not even mucking out the stable. She was just grateful that everything was back to normal and the firefighters and their firehouse was still next door where they belonged. She was in such a good mood that she was willing to ignore the strange voice mails from confused sports reporter back home who wanted to talk about draft picks.

The island seemed to have gone back to normal no thanks to Claudia's mun, whose life had sort of exploded a little, so Claudia was back at work, sans giggling and hopefully sans any comatose friends.

To celebrate, she was preparing for finals. She was. Look, just because your preparatory methods didn't tend to involve sparks and soldering irons. . . .

Book Haven was open.

Medusalith was in an actual good mood today. She'd rescued Blackagar, that bog thing was gone, everything was back to normal. And hopefully no giant dogs would be invading the gallery with more bad news.

...she was probably going to have to explain a few things to Ms. Devereaux, wasn't she? Oh, dear.

At any rate, the gallery? Open. Perhaps you'd like to buy some art for someone for Christmas and/or the winter holiday of your choice?

There was a very disgruntled girl behind the counter at Pixie Dust.

No, scratch that, there was a very disgruntled wolf behind the counter at Pixie Dust. Someone had handwavily gotten the wrong end of some goblin magic at one point, and been four-legged ever since.

Considering this was finals week, it would hopefully wear off soon.
