Hinata was… pretty certain that she was done all of her shopping for the year. But pretty certain wasn't one hundred percent certain and that meant she had a list of names and what she'd wanted to get for them out in front of her as she went down it carefully and crossed off those she knew she'd gotten.

The list would, obviously, be hidden ninja-quick should anyone enter the store.

For her part, Yei was ripping around like only a weetiny kitten could playing what seemed to be an elaborate game of tag with the dust bunnies.

Hinata knew she should shoo the bunnies out but that would make Yei sad and it wasn't hurting anyone, was it?

Really, the last thing she felt like doing was decorating.

But that was what Ino was making herself do today while at work because she'd told Christian she would (in a conversation that felt like a million years ago but had only been two weeks past) and she supposed it was better than brooding.

The radio was on, but Ino wasn't singing along to it. She just… didn't feel like it.

Ino wondered if that meant she was supposed to try singing anyway.

Jono... really didn't have the heart to say no, at the best of times. He was probably one of the biggest pushovers on the island, wrapped up in a leather-and-flame package that he could only hope would hint to the contrary. And most people saw through that anyhow.

Most polar bears as well, apparently, if the small collection of Coca-Cola bottles that he was amassing were any indication.

He couldn't help it. They gave him sad, sad polar bear eyes when he tried to say no. And so he'd give in, add another bottle to the growing pile on the counter, give them a CD by way of saying thank you, and send them on their way.

... He suspected that they were coming in now just for the free music.

"Thanks, but I already have something to drink," Ben said politely to the polar bear offering him a soda. He held up his coffee mug. "See?"

The bear looked very sad, then held out the drink again.

Ben sighed. "Fine, I'll take it. Thank you."

As soon as the bear left, Ben tucked the bottle into the bag by his leg and checked his chrono. He had time to finish his coffee (with ice cream) before heading to the his (insanely scrubbed out since it had spent time in the maze, thank you) shuttle to head home for the holidays.

He tapped out a few messages on his comlink to let people at home know he was coming and people here know he was leaving, glancing every now and then at the door to see if he recognized anyone to say goodbye to.

After visiting Jono at Groovy Tunes, Raven headed to work at 'Dite's shop. In a strange burst of synchronicity, there was a delivery shortly after she opened the store. Raven unpacked the box with a puzzled look. Someone was going to have to explain to her just why this was supposed to be "sexy."

Mary was used to seeing odd things in Fandom, but it still caught her off-guard when a polar bear walked in and handed her a bottle of Coca-Cola. But she quickly recovered and gave the bear a sincere thank you. She was pretty thirsty. Gunther seemed to be taking his time bringing her the coffee she asked for hours ago.

Jane wasn't entirely there that day; she was more concerned sending mails to John every five seconds with indications of how to put the damn tree by himself; the man could shoot a camouflaged soldier with stealth training in the middle of the night with a bullet on his leg, but he apparently was no match for the mess of lights and balls and glitter the tree was made of. Her John needed her, and she would leave later today to reassure him he wasn't any less of a man because a plant had defeated him.

But for now the store was open! And Jane had enough Coke for the rest of the month by now.

[OCDless and SP-y!]
