Spock was at Fixer-Uppers on Tuesday, working on adjustments to the schematics for one of his projects. Some of the systems seemed sluggish to respond, but he was reluctant to attempt to tweak someone else's code, so he chalked it up to the 'early twenty-first century' factor and went on with it.

It had snowed yesterday in Las Vegas. Even though it melted fairly quickly, Mary kept getting texts from Delinda with pictures of little Coco in her new winter weather gear. Of course, she wouldn't get a chance to wear it again unless there was another freak snowstorm and the toddler-sized fur coat was going a little overboard, but the texts and pics kept Mary entertained.

Thanks to a late portal and some ... tension between Nina and George, the source of which Mitchell was a little too aware of, Mitchell barely made it to the Perk before closing. Still, there was about half an hour left before the doors shut, and they were still willing to serve him some coffee, so there was that.

He sagged back in a seat, coffee in hand, and stared up at the lights in the ceiling. The past few days hadn't been all bad - even if he still felt like an awkward nit about Lucy - and at least it was putting some distance between him and the whole ugh with Hannibal.

But coffee, on his own, at the Perk? A perfect metaphor for his mental state at the moment.

Between two afternoon classes, her meeting with Anakin that morning, and last night's ahem activities, and the lack of sleep lately, Raven was exhausted by the time she arrived at work.

She folded her arms on the counter and rested her head on them, not intending to drift off. Just...resting her eyes. Really.

It had taken him all of a semester of juggling his work schedule and his class schedule, but it had finally occurred to Jonothon that, considering he was both the manager of the Groovy Tunes and their only employee at the moment, he could bloody well set his schedule as he saw fit. And that was why, as soon as he walked into the shop today, he made his way straight to the schedule, scribbled out all of his future Tuesday shifts, and set them for Monday.

It made sense, really, considering he didn't have anything on Mondays at all. Why should he lose hours (and precious time listening to new music) for the sake of class when he had so much free time otherwise?

That accomplished, he pulled out his stash of Pearl Jam CDs, stuck whatever was on the top into the stereo, and stuck a Help Wanted sign in the window before setting about to unloading and putting out new stock.

Since Ariel had been off a few weeks due to having to turn back into a mermaid for a while, she was sure she'd missed a lot of new things coming into the shop, and boy, was she right! If anyone asked, of course, she'd explain that she was just familiarizing herself with the new merchandise, but there was a growing pile of things, mostly pink and green, by the counter that she'd tried on which would probably be going home with her, despite her much diminished closet space.

And there was another issue, too.

"I so need to get another job," Ariel muttered to herself, looking woefully into her purse and noting the moths that seemed to drift lazily out of it.
