Well, here went nothing, right?

Reno had gone and decided that he needed to get a second job. He couldn't afford to do things like make rent and feed himself and Mako and a duck (stupid duck) on a teacher's wage while sending as much money back to Edge and the WRO as he was. And, on top of that, he'd just needed to start something to keep himself busy, something that he could occupy himself with and kind of zone out on instead of thinking too hard on whatever the shit of the day happened to be.

And it just so happened that he was living with and dating the fine young woman who owned this joint, and Rikku had been good enough to hook him up with a job. All the better for him, he supposed. He had enough mechanical knowhow to repair a chopper under pressure, and he'd helped the Al Bhed make their shitty airship remotely less shitty. He was no Cid friggin' Highwind, but he could do the job. How difficult could it be?

...

Well. It would be much easier if he could just stop staring, slack-jawed, at the sign.

Ramuh help him.

With winter festivals and new student arrivals all over with, Firekeeper was glad to be back to her routine.

Even if said routine involved, yet again, the appearance of ridiculous numbers of bananas in the hayloft.

At least she wouldn't go hungry?

Shunsui had taken his sweet time getting to the store today. Not because he usually didn't pay much attention to being punctual, but simply because, if the week had been any indication, he could show up late, discover someone else behind the counter, and hire them to do all the work. It happened on Wednesday, after all, and yesterday...

But, alas, today, the only ones in the shop when Shunsui got there were Apu-san, Bob-chan, and the cheese panda. So Shunsui sighed and settled behind the counter after grabbing a bottle of sake and resigned himself to the fact that, perhaps, sometimes, he actually did have to work at the shop himself.

Or at least pretend to be.

Yeah, so Mitchell had been sticking around Fandom for a couple of days so far. It just felt like a Fandom kind of week. But the week had to come to an end eventually, and so on Sunday he opened up the theater one more time before making his Portalocity arrangements for home.

He'd promised Cally he'd try to accomodate some children's fare, and that's why today, the theater was topped with the following bill:

NOW PLAYING:
Terrible I

He was hoping that would be worthwhile for her, anyway.

It was, in all honesty, a bit cold to be walking along the beach where the water could wash up over your feet. But there weren't really any better options for spending time with a water fury who needed as much water to manifest as Androcles did. Besides, while Max wasn't any sort of expert firecrafter, he could manage enough to keep himself warm.

So he was, in fact, walking along the beach and letting the water wash up over his feet. The day had been an easy one, so he'd headed out early for this little meeting. That gave him plenty of time to stretch out his muscles a bit before the fascinating woman he was waiting for arrived.

Which he was very much looking forward to.

[Expecting one, but open!]

John was starting to think stacking glasses really high should be a sport. Especially when the glasses belonged to Chuck, who could afford to pay for the subsequent losses when the glasses tipped over and crashed on the floor.

Eh, Tino would clean it up.
