It was a somewhat sedate, thoughtful Reno who stepped into Fixer-Uppers today for his shift. His trip to Spira with Rikku had been... different. They'd killed a huge-assed monster... fiend... whatever. Got a Ribbon out of the deal (which was way more kickass than it sounded). Made a detour to check out the place where she'd grown up.

Busy few days. And she'd stuck around a little longer than him, because she needed to talk to that cousin of hers. The one who had saved the world, who he kind of wanted to kick in the shins.

Today, Reno was tinkering with his stun baton, because there were grains of sand in it in places where he didn't think that sand could get. He couldn't complain, though. It kept him busy, and it meant that he wasn't staring up at that damn lens flare.

Apu was relieved. Rather than come in and start rambling about revolutions and unions, today, Dolf had quietly taken his seat behind the counter, piece of paper in hand, and started writing.

Of course, that was a relief to Apu for about as long as it took him to realise that meant that Dolf wasn't going to be cleaning the store in solidarity with the workers today. With a sigh, he picked up his broom and got to work.

Dolf didn't notice. He was busy trying to figure out how to establish parallels between Fandom and Middle Eastern dictatorships right now. Writing for the paper was turning out to be harder than he had anticipated, but he was planning to do it well. Dammit.

There was some sort of... plush animal perched atop one of the haybales today.

It was pink, and vaguely resembled a cow if one used their imagination.

None of the horses claimed to know anything about how it had appeared.

"I do not think I want to know," Firekeeper decided.

The bar was like a ghost town. Uh, if Tino was a ghost. Maybe Tino had done something to make it so eerily quiet. Or maybe it was that there was no bartender to save customers from Tino's insanity.

No matter, Caritas was open.
