Blah, blah, blah, back at work, Gunther was ranting about fake sauerkraut or something, the Valentine's Day decorations were long down and discreet shamrocks and potted daffodils had sprouted in their places. In short, it was a typical day at the hotel.

Quinn regarded her lightly tanned skin with satisfaction as she opened a fat March issue of Glamour. As far as she was concerned, spring couldn't come soon enough.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!
Today's Specials: Reuben Sandwich
Rocky Road Brownies

[OOC: Open hotel post! OCD stayed in Hawaii.]

Lacey had brought her laptop in to work today for the purpose of obsessively monitoring the NHL trade deadline. That had been pretty much required. But as plans of Lacey's so often did, this one had gone awry very rapidly; it was hard to keep refreshing the sports pages when she kept fielding obnoxious emails from Hank, who was bent on taunting her as much as possible about the Leafs.

Or so she assumed, because A) it was Hank, and B) the Leafs were a good target for it this year. She wasn't really bothering to parse through his incoherent screeds for the actual meaning; she could just automatically feel picked on instead. It was an assumption, but (she thought) a safe one.

Today's Specials
Soft Scrambled Eggs with Fresh Ricotta and Chives
Smoked Turkey, Plum, and Fennel Salad
Braised Lamb Chops with Root Vegetables

NOW HIRING -- See Manager for Details

Luke's is open, but free of flying pucks.

[OOC: OCD is obsessively refreshing a trade tracker page. Ahem.]

"Awww, look at you. You look like a real tourist," Jane judged from the computer screen. "I'm sad I didn't get to catch you in a Hawaiian shirt all week, mr. Wiggin."

"The figures I asked for?" Ender prompted, wryly. "And don't start sulking and ordering me shirts online."

"Who said anything about ordering you shirts?" she chirped, but obediently coughed up the numbers Ender wanted. Some junk info from the colonies, mostly, but it seemed like they were figuring a few things out, and Ender was nothing if not interested in the thought processes of the researchers up there.

Though he was going to be distracted all day wondering if that meant she was going to start shipping stuff to Ben, which was just a whole new headache waiting to happen. He sighed, and left his laptop for what it was, and instead slipped into the workshop.

Today's special: papayas, apparently. Some days he didn't even know why he bothered.

Somehow Makita had managed to get inside the store, despite the lack of disposable thumbs. How? Well, she wasn't telling. But for now she had the front door open to enjoy the warm-ish weather. For a wolf in full fur? 63F was practically tropical.

Pixie Dust is open, and Makita is willing to help, well, however she can.

Dani didn't care if she was mucking out stalls. She was just so grateful to be back in Fandom and away from her family's madness. She wasn't sure if the horses would understand, but she still told them all about how her brother's wedding turned into a disaster because the groom never showed up for the ceremony.

Dani and Junior's father was even more ticked off about the wedding being called off because the bride's father was an influential congressman. He even threatened to cut Junior out of the family business and let Dani take over. When Dani had realized she was about to become another pawn in one of her father's schemes, she packed her bags and camped out at the nearest Portalocity terminal until she could get a portal out of there.

"I think I'll stay put on the island for a while," she reassured the horses. "Junior can make his own mistakes and my dad can see how long he can run things without getting arrested. I'm happy with my own life."

The Gig was open.

It had been awhile since Karla had actually worked a shift, between vacation, rescues, and the trauma associated with even the idea of letting her children loose in the store. 'Dite might have forgiven her. Hercules never would.

Hawaii was clearly on her mind still as she started creating a tropical island display. It gave her something to do that wasn't inventory or cleaning, since she wasn't actually ready for something that approached work.

In case there was ever any doubt, today was absolutely a Nine Inch Nails day at the Groovy Tunes, yes.

Because, honestly, how could it possibly not be?

If Jono looked more than a little amused at the phrase, "Oscar Winner Trent Reznor," well, could anybody blame him?

The Groovy Tunes is, of course, open. And loud! Even if the score that won the Oscars wasn't, really.

[And late! My bad!]
