It was almost a novelty to close off one of these weekends without any traumatic experiences to speak of. Ender opened up the store early in the morning, tacking up a note to Rikku apologising for skipping out last week.

He bustled around the back of the store for a while, fixing odds and ends and going through some blueprints. But that only lasted so long, and before noon had come, he was back at the desk, reading through Peter's latest email on his laptop.

They were... slowly getting a dialogue going. Ender was a little surprised that it was having an effect on him, but it was almost... nice. He was glad he'd taken a step.

Not that he was about to let his guard down. It was still Peter, after all.

It was a sad, sad statement to make that someone who ran a diner and had a certain passion for food could have traumatic associations with certain ingredients now, but Lacey had spent most of the weekend running from ambulating mushrooms and getting lost in various pipes.

Which was why, when the cook approached her in the morning and asked if she thought a mushroom frittata would be a good idea for a breakfast special, the heretofore-unrealized bad influence that over a year of doing radio broadcasts with Katchoo had had on Lacey's vocabulary made itself very, very amply known.

NOW HIRING - See Manager for Details
Saturday shift available

Luke's is open and distinctly fungus-free, and if you need the manager she'll be hiding over there in the corner, appalled at what came out of her own mouth.

The weekend had been handwavily weird, but it was not the most important thing on Quinn's mind as she got to work today. Prom was coming up and that outranked magic mushrooms and turtle monsters any day.

Quinn wore a small pink Quinn Fabray for Prom Queen pin on her sweater. She didn't care if only seniors were eligible; it just meant she'd need to work a little harder. If the housekeeping staff kept giggling at it, well, they were clearly just jealous.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!
Today's Specials: Smoked Turkey Panini
Tempura Vegetables

[OOC; Open hotel, scarily prom-obsessed receptionist.]

Caritas, Monday

Unusual deliveries of random, non-bar-related crap were actually... kind of par for the course by this point. But usually it was stupid stuff like a planter shaped like a tricycle, or a brick, or that stupid butterfly lawn ornamment.

This was new, though.

"Happy Unicorn Good Earth Food Store Brand Strawberry Jam?" Jake read off the label. "Made with free range fruit? What in the hell is a free range fruit? Fruit that agreed to be in the jam in the first place?" he asked Tino. Tino just shrugged.

Caritas was open. And, apparently, offering a free jar of jam with every drink purchase.

Dani never thought she'd be happy to be spending the day cleaning tack. But getting dive-bombed by flying mushrooms and turtles over the weekend really gave her a new perspective on things. Now, it seemed that a quiet afternoon in the stable was the best thing in the world.

But the really important thing was that The Gig was open, and there were enough clean bridles and saddles if someone wanted to ride a horse.

After a thorough sweep of the store to make sure there were no pipes, mushrooms, or flying turtle-geese creatures to send her back to the dorms yet again, Karla started taking inventory of exactly what had been broken, dirtied, or otherwise ruined during the invasion over the weekend.

Great. 'Dite hadn't even left yet and already the store was in need of repair. That boded well.

Jack was certainly not taking advantage of Eric being off-island by coming to work late. He was a pirate, not a suicidal pirate. So he was behind the bar right on time despite his mun forgetting, whooooops counting all of the money he'd discovered over the weekend.

The concussion he hadn't gone to the clinic to get treated was making it difficult to keep track correctly, so this would keep him busy all night!

[OOC: The OCD is hiding in shame.]
