Mary had ventured to take a look around at the new surroundings yesterday, but she came to regret it when she picked up a new Viking admirer that kept following her around. Today, she was staying in place in the hotel so that her admirer couldn't find her.

Karla's moodiness the day before was lingering in the shop today. Raven was trying not to dwell on Triela and her inability to help her. Instead, she was trying to fix the odd job Karla had done yesterday of stocking the store.

This week was certainly an interesting one. There was a new place to explore, full of interesting people, and then there were some people leaving, some for a while, some for the summer, but, at the same time, there might be new people coming in for the summer.

The excitement of all of it made it almost impossible to focus on being at work all day, but, thankfully, there was the task of pulling out some of the warmer clothes back out for the weather having cooled down a little to distract her. Pulling them out....and trying them on, of course!

The brain underneath that large straw hat was an extremely bright one. At least, Shunsui seemed to think so, as he finally enacted a plan he'd been meaning to. The night was a bit cool, but that didn't bother him any. He had plenty of sake to keep him warm as he settled on the beach and looked up at the sky with a glimmer of hope. He lifted his jug in a salute to the endeavor before taking a big swig, and then settled in comfortably for destiny to occur.

After all, last week, he had the chance to report on a sexy pirate washing up on the beach. And barely a stone's throw away, there was a bevy of strong viking beauties. Maybe if he stuck around he could get a hot ninja.

Or at the very least, maybe a buxom replacement for his usual radio cohost.

One never knew unless one tried, right?

When Sookie arrived at the diner, there was a lot of shouting going on in the back.

Sookie, of course, did go back there to check what was going on, but when she found the source of the problem, she turned right back around and went back out front. Did she need to know why there was a three-foot high pile of cooked rice pouring off the stovetop? Nope. She just needed to know they were going to clean it up, and she wouldn't have to. Because so help her, she wasn't.

Tonight, there was something dangerous in the bar with Robin.

Not an animal. Not even a weapon. No, the zombies hadn't rebelled.

But she'd discovered a bottle of absinthe, and Robin was just sitting there, looking at it, and thinking about how long it'd been since she'd had some. It had been so fun!
