Fraser wasn't sure what to think of the island's new location. On the one hand, it was nice that the rain had stopped. On the other, he had an incredible urge to go out and explore and that was dampened when he had to work today. He loved working, he loved giving back but it was hard to resist just leaving early so he could go explore and see history unfolding live before his eyes.

Diefenbaker didn't much care for history but he did love comfortable chairs so that's where he was curled up right now. Fraser was busy sweeping up the lobby and watering the plants. It gave him a good opportunity to daydream.

Millie might be tough to find as she was up and down moving things around. However, Proudfoot was stretched out enjoying the sun in the big front window.

The horses were in high spirits today with the fresh air and sun, so Helen spent most of the day riding them in turn.

Jack felt tremendously grateful to have something real to do as he opened the law office today. It had been a long week, and exploring the cowboy town had only helped so much.

He was especially careful about straightening the office, then settled in with a pile of legal documents to read. It was comforting, having a problem he could solve for once.

The law offices were open.

K was not amused.

This was not anything new, of course. K was rarely amused. And if he was amused it was very likely that you would not notice it.

Either way K was minding the front desk at the post office this fine day.

Looking unamused.

Today, Cally was behind the counter with her datapad fired up, alternately teaching herself incredibly elementary Dutch and listening to bird calls.

After all, not every talking duck she met was going to be tri-lingual.

"Good evening!" Jack crowed from the front of the classroom, clasping his hands together happily. "Tonight we are going to play a game that teaches ye all about outsmartin' yer opponents and making them have t' look through sofa cushions for spare change when they realize ye have all of the railroads and utilities! Yer computers are all set up with the game!"

In Dutch. There was a reason Eric generally did the prepwork.

Eric was looking over the computer screens and sighing (theatrically, since he didn't breathe). "Do the best you can."

So nearly three weeks ago, Alex had gotten a job. And then he had turned into a Labrador Retriever before his first day of work, and puppies and firearms did not mix. But now he was at work, behind the counter and totally ready to not sell you a gun.

He'd be happy to direct you to the meditation room, though.

Chuck found he approved of the new place Fandom had put them in. He got the feeling some of the locals thought his limp was from a badass gunfight or something. He could totally feel the respect radiating off them.

Or something.

Having spent the weekend as a rabbit, and then having to move to some cabins, Sov nearly forgot which day it was and that they were supposed to work. They arrived a little late and tried to compensate by sweeping the floor. Bad conscience makes you do odd things.
