Every so often, you just have to reward yourself. Or at least that was Jack's philosophy. Actually that was something he just made up to rationalize his most recent purchase.

It wasn't exactly what you'd call a scooter. It was more like a motorcycle that just wasn't fully grown yet. Small enough to navigate the streets of Fandom yet big enough that Jack didn't feel like a wuss when he would ride it.

And it was all Jack's.

Well, technically it was the property of Jack Carter in Eureka but the credit card was in the same name so...

Well, Jack would deal with that later. Right now he was outside the store admiring his new purchase with pride.

With one employee back and working (he wasn't going to count the weeks the boy had been otherwise occupied), Cable supposed he should be spending some more time in the store. If simply because it'd been a while since he'd taken the time to sit down and really explore the latest development in the arms market.

He really needed to start looking into putting some turrets on the building. Sure, the roof made it hard to put anything down on there, but the diagonal lines just made it a challenge. Maybe something that came up from underneath...

The Open sign was on the door, as was the Help Wanted one; a husky slept peacefully near the door, and the boss... was browsing.

Nothing seemed to be amiss when Bod came into work today so he figured things had gone off without a hitch during his absence last Friday. He greeted the cooking staff with a wave and some brief words about their week before they got to work cooking and Bod got to work prepping the diner for the day.

Harper had acquired a limited number of cow print vests to go with the cowboy hays and cowboy boots that were in stock. She put them on the mannequins in the window display, hoping to attract some of the cowboys who might be visiting the island. Or maybe she'd get some wannabe cowboys who lived on the island. Either way, she figured they would sell faster than the leftover rain ponchos.

Gunther really wanted to make a special bananas foster for dessert today, but he needed money to buy the banana liqueur he needed. He told Mary he got the idea after reading an article about it. Mary decided to check the article for herself and found that the reason it made news was because the waiter preparing it set people on fire when he spilled burning rum.

That made it a lot easier to say no to Gunther. She was not taking a risk on him burning down the hotel.
