Bod didn't have so much on his mind that he completely missed both the new name and the somewhat new look of the diner. Thanks to the radio broadcasts, he knew there was a new owner and some remodeling but he hadn't seen it for himself so he took some time to wander around and check things out. The staff were still buzzing excitedly about the change and most of that conversation seemed to center on the big walk in freezer that seemed to go on and on.

After giving the freezer a look, Bod made his way out front to get things wiped down, cleaned up and turned so he could open up the diner.

For some reason, the mood was rather... rebellious today. Depending on when they entered, a person would either hear hardcore 80's punk, or the mellow tunes of the late 60's/early 70's. Seifer was in the middle of it all, headbanging to the punk or just nodding his head with the easier stuff, listening to the message.

Because it was all about the message.

Harper wasn't entirely sure why a large shipment of maple leaf-themed items came in today. There were t-shirts, ball caps, flags and even a few maple leaf fascinators. She put them out on display with heavily discounted prices. Maybe someone out there would be interested in fall fashions a bit early.

Rikku was so glad her store was still here. Not that she expected that it wouldn't be! Just that, you know, she'd been away for a bit, and it was a relief that it hadn't been eaten by those giant spiders Reno had mentioned or whatever. Although really, he would have brought that up. And besides, she just liked looking at it, especially the horrific really cheerful reassuring sign.
