Fraser was outside today, giving the pool a good scrubbing. It was true there were people that he could hire to do this but the weather was pleasant and he liked being outside so he decided to do it himself. He scrubbed down the loungers and tables, dusted the umbrellas and ignored Dief when the wolf jumped into the pool to get himself wet.

"You're not coming inside like that," Fraser told him eventually, giving him a look. Dief just kept swimming happily. "You will track water everywhere and Robin will blame it on me and I'll have to blame you."

Dief just kept on paddling around and Fraser shook his head before going back to cleaning.

Jack tried to be diligent about things like watering the plants in the office, and taking out the trash and recycling. Not only did he see it as part of his employment, but he worked better in a clean space.

Today, the recycling had its revenge.

Jack didn't hear the rustling as he picked up the bin, nor did he see the green beast before it lashed out of a nest of soda cans and chomped down on his arm.

He had just enough time to start to swear before the venom took effect. When it did, the swearing subsided. "Aw man," Tracy Turnblad said as she looked around the office. "Detention again? I didn't even do anything!"

She was going to just sit still and wait for somebody to come yell at her, but she gave up on that plan as soon as her hands went to her head. Her hair felt dangerously flat.

This was an emergency. Whipping out her hand mirror, she was fully prepared to spend the rest of the day teasing her hair back to its usual, glorious heights, singing a little song about detention as she went.

[OOC: Completely open, gremlin-bit, hairspray-soaked post!]

Helen was happily hanging out with the horses. It was, afterall, Thursday.

It had been a pretty gosh darn good week for Postman Butters, between deep fried Twinkies, a new friend who might not even make him do horrible things, and actually getting to the second floor common room on the first try. He liked all his classes so far and one of his teachers was a pony. Lots of great things were happening, and Butters was going to write all about them. He had picked out his favorite post cards from the little spinny rack full of them (and some he chose at random, giving it a spin and picking whichever he was pointing at when it stopped) and set to writing all about his good week. To his parents, his grandmother, his aunt and uncle in California. His pen pals in Alaska, in Russia, in the Colorado State Prison. To random people with addresses randomly grabbed out of phone books. Boy, wouldn't they feel great and special when they got a post card in the mail! And not only could he write them to pass some time, but he was already at the post office, so he could send them out right away, too!

"Postman Butters!" he cdeclared with a great swell of pride as he held out a post card to admire his writing on one side and the pretty, snowy scene of teal deer at the park on the other. "Making the world better, with each and every letter!"

And, with that rhyme, the Post Office is open!

Chuck came into Caritas in his own sweet time Thursday. He blamed it on hanging out in English pubs. Really he got caught up watching Lifetime.
