Kate might not have been in as a brilliant a mood as she had yesterday, but it was still okay enough. They were right by Disneyland Paris, come on. It was going to take a little more than a cranky, painkiller-addled BFF-or-possibly-not to entirely wreck her mood. But it had made her a little more pensive than she had been, yesterday. About a lot of things.

She did not count the shifts she had left as she idly straightened up some of the merchandise in the concessions stand.

Emma had skipped work last week for, well, rather obvious reasons. Mainly, monsters.

She was here today, of course, determined to make her last few shifts at the store productive. Also, to taste-test as many of the obscene lollipops Karla had so nicely stocked by the counter. Look, someone had to do quality control around here.

It was Nathan's night at the bar and while he was there, he was a little preoccupied with a game on his phone. Look, he'd just fucking installed it, it let him kill things and he was taking today off since he'd been so diligent in defending the bar last week.

If Tino knew he thought that, he'd be tempted to punch Nathan but he didn't so he continued on oblivious. And Nathan was oblivious to him, deciding the game was more important than paying attention.

To say Alex was distracted was an enormous understatement. Katniss was alive; there was progress, in District Thirteen, and she had decided not to go. She was close to filing on the judge's case load, here. She could get someone thoroughly incompetent -- no, not incompetent, malicious -- disbarred, or help to, or try to. She knew very well she wouldn't be any help at military planning. She could always join up once her paperwork diminished. And yet, it felt ridiculous to sit here while everything was going on there.

Hank had been busy. In the middle of the floor today was a display housing a very large collection of Disney merchandise, at a slight markup over the prices you'd find across the causeway.

There were shirts, hats, mugs, keychains, postcards -- all of the usual touristy crap. And so many toys and stuffed animals and DVDs that they threatened to take over the store. And, for some reason, cheese.

The panda hung out in the dairy aisle, conspicuously far away from the Disney display, whistling "The Bear Necessities".

Rude was, by now, used to the sorts of things that Fandom could throw at him. So when the three-foot-tall mouse came in with a package and cheerfully shouted "Special delivery!", he took it in stride.

At least no one was turning into gray monsters today?

When Lion-o wouldn't stop talking about the French treats he'd had yesterday at Disneyland ("They had a crepe stand! And there was another stand selling waffles!"), the kitchen staff decided that they needed to go with all-French specials.

Today's Specials

Bouillabaisse
Ratatouille
Tropical Fruit Crepes with Vanilla Bean and Rum Butter Sauce

Quinn was behind the counter and back to looking as fabulous as usual, thank you very much.

Well. Almost as fabulous. There was this teeny problem where her toenails on one foot were still more like claws. She was ordering every pedicure supply imaginable off the Internet to try and get them back to normal. Until they did, sandals were strictly off-limits.

The Arms Hotel was open and ready to serve you.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!
Today's Specials: Ratatouille Tart
Silky Cauliflower Soup

Most of the grey had faded from Jessica's skin. Stupid corrupted teal deer with its stupid corrupted blood making her sick. She was a freaking vampire! She wasn't supposed to get sick. Fandom, you were so not fair.

There was one stubborn grey patch on her cheek that was taking its sweet time in healing, even with her vampire abilities. If anyone dared mention it, she was going to cram her tiara down their throat.
